Olympian Michael Phelps was in Las Vegas today for the Encore Beach Club 2011 grand opening. It looks like Spring Break which you know, means booze, chicks and maybe some weed. Not that Michael Phelps is into any of those things.

He looks pretty happy though, doesn’t he? He also looks very fit. I wonder if he still consumes 12,000 calories a day? I would be happy as a pig in mud with 5,000 calories a day and look like that. Well, without the peen. I kind of like my girl parts.

Speaking of peen, I’m not sure why he’s grabbing his coming out of the pool, but perhaps a man out there can enlighten me as to why men do that? My hubby is asleep (I’m doing this post Sunday evening at around 11:30 p.m.) and I’m sure I would get that ‘you really are f*cking crazy’ look if I woke him up to ask him that.

Michael Phelps was at Borders in New York autographing copies of his book ‘No Limits:  The Will to Succeed’.  This is for you V and all the other Michael Phelps’ fans.  Sorry his shirt is on.  That’s a Borders’ policy.  At least that’s what they told me when I showed up without my blouse.   :)

So impressed by Michael Phelp’s recent cameo appearance on Entourage that the eight time Olympic gold champ has been offered a recurring role on the hit series.

That cameo appearance happened because Phelps was walking by the New York City set and producers offered him a part, as himself, in a scene with actor Kevin Connolly.  That’s how it all came about!! 

Jeremy Piven says of the opportunity for a recurring part:

“I could see him coming back as one of the boys. I can see (my character) Ari being very aggressive in recruiting him to represent him and also stopping at nothing to poach him from another client. That’s what Ari would do.”

Of the original cameo appearance, the show’s creator Doug Ellin says:

 “It was the coolest thing in the world. When he showed up, I’m not exaggerating, city buses stopped and people started yelling and within five minutes we couldn’t even shoot.”

Entourage premieres September 7.

I’ve never watched the show but it has such a huge following, doesn’t it?  Do you watch?

It looks like Michael Phelps is going to be crazy in demand.  For starters on Monday he will guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

On September 13 he opens the new season of Saturday Night Live.

And it has been confirmed that he  taped a cameo appearance on Thursday for Entourage`s fifth season which premieres September 7.

On top of all that, the 23 year-old has just signed a deal to write his life story in a book entitled:  Built to Succeed.

I`m sure this is only the beginning of a very promising future. Well deserved.
