Gerard Butler did double duty in Cannes yesterday by also attending Paul Haggis‘ Artists’ For Peace & Justice Benefit. Clearly the man has stamina! Sha-wing.  And the grey around his temples? I think it looks kind of hot. Okay not kind of, but very hot. He could have Popsicle sticks taped to his head and I would find it adorable.

Also attending the benefit:  Michelle Rodriguez, Mischa Barton, Russell Crowe, Jimmy Jean-Louis, and Elizabeth Banks.

I know this will sound catty, and it really isn’t, but I just don’t understand Mischa Barton’s sense of fashion.  She could be the nicest person in the world, I’m not saying she’s evil or anything.  Maybe a little blind.  That is all.

The cast of Avatar got  together to celebrate Earth Day yesterday.  And by cast I mean Michelle Rodriguez and James Cameron.

I’m not sure where everyone else from the movie was, but Hayden Panettiere showed up with her enormous boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko.  I’m going to refer to him as ‘the big dude’ from now on.

A lot of blue Avatar people were there as was Richard Green.

Celebrity news is really boring these days and this post is no different.  As well, today is so sunny and bright I really do not want to be posting.  So I may take a break and come back later.

Tomorrow is the official release of James Cameron’s Avatar and it has received much hype over the last little while with it receiving a couple of Golden Globe nominations earlier this week including Best Picture and Best Director.

The thriller/sci-fi movie stars Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Zoe Saldana, Michelle Rodriguez and CCH Pounder.  Michelle looked positively lovely at the premiere.

The beautiful statuesque Oscar winner, Charlize Theron just radiates in this beautiful red dress as she attends the screening of  ’Battle in Seattle’ hosted by The Cinema Society and Dior Beauty at The Tribeca Grand Screening Room in NYC.

Her boyfriend, Stuart Townsend wrote and directed the movie.  He turned her down for the lead role and gave her a bit part instead.  She was, however, the first to read the script.  I think that would have killed a lot of relationships in Hollywood, lol.

I swear to you I was not “aware” of Martin Henderson before, although I know I have watched some of his movies.  Can you say HUBBA HUBBA?  Yeahhhhh.  He is fine.  The other side of the world (he’s from Australia) cranks out some very hot men.  Oh yeah, the movie also has Michelle Rodriguez and Ray Liotta in it.  Whatever.
