Jennifer Lopez released her full video Dance Again last night on American Idol and in case you missed it, we have it for you in all its orgy glory. Pitbull shares the vocals and brings his trademark swagger in the video while JLo's boytoy watches her writhing around in the love pit. They then share some moments together and while I was hoping to see these two full on make out it didn't happen.
Personally I LOVE this song! Casper Smart doesn't do anything for me but Pitbull? Well there's that 'something' about him. I would totally let him open my treasure chest. OINK.

The second trailer for Rock of Ages has appeared online and we finally get to hear a little bit of Tom Cruise as he belts out Bon Jovi’s "Livin' on a Prayer". He certainly looks the part (not bad for a 48 year old that’s for damn sure) and he appears to be having a blast.
Directed by Adam Shankman (Hairspray) and based on the Tony Award nominated Broadway musical, it’s set in 1987and follows a fresh off the bus sweet-young-thing who comes to LA with stars in her eyes and big '80s hair. There, she meets a nice guy with ambitions of his own (Diego Boneta). When they meet, it's love at first sight, though their romance will face a series of challenges as they are seduced by the sex-drugs and rocknroll way of life personified by superstar Stacee Jaxx (Cruise), who meanwhile is falling for music journalist Malin Akerman.
The cast features Alec Baldwin (who could easily steal Tom Cruise’s thunder), Paul Giamatti, Russell Brand, Mary J. Blige, Catherine Zeta Jones and Julianne Hough playing the doe-eyed ingénue. It also features Will Forte, Bryan Cranston and Constantine Maroulis.
Rock of Ages includes the music of iconic bands such as Journey, Def Leppard, Foreigner, Jefferson Starship, Twisted Sister and Poison. The nostalgia, at least for me and probably my generation, is winning over the cheese factor so far. Perhaps because I lived through it, the big hair, spandex, padded shoulders and garish colors don’t cross the line into parody. The Bourbon Room is obviously The Whiskey, Catherine Zeta Jones and her band of manicured over-privileged housewives is obviously Tipper Gore’s Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC), but Stacee Jaxx could be any number of hard-partying rock icons. Probably a little bit of Axl Rose, a little bit of Bret Michaels, a soupcon of Vince Neill, a dash of Tommy Lee, and a dollop of David Lee Roth would be my guess.
Gotta love the monkey, especially since it’s doing the spanking. *cough*
Rock of Ages opens June 1 in the US and 8th June in the UK. More to follow I’m sure.

Jennifer Lopez has a new video featuring her lover Casper Smart and she's teasing us by sharing some titillating photos with her audience of the two of them blindfolding one another with the words 'Love Is Blind written on them. The boytoy has no shirt on and JLo bares her midriff.
The video to Dance Again featuring Pitbull will be aired live on American Idol on Thursday but in the meanwhile we have the audio for you. The tune is available on iTunes. What do you think? You like?

Chris Cornell has landed on the soundtrack to another film, this time he brought the rest of Soundgarden with him. The band has just released a preview of their new single, “Live to Rise” from the upcoming film, The Avengers.
Here’s a 22 second snippet for you:
Hopefully, it won’t get lost in the shuffle and excitement surrounding the soundtrack to a highly anticipated movie that this is the band’s first new tune in 15 years! They’ll be part of “Avengers Assemble” the album of music from and inspired by the film, The Avengers. The 14 included tracks feature songs by Bush, Evanescence, Five Finger Death Punch, Scott Weiland, and BuckCherry so you can pretty much figure out that this will have a raw rock sound. Nice! I’m a little disappointed that Kasabian will only be on the international version! What’s up with that? How are they supposed to crack the American market? Oh well, I digress.
The soundtrack will be released on May 1. The movie will be released 26th April in the UK and May 4 in the US.
And just because I can, here’s Chris Cornell’s song from the last film soundtrack he was involved in (the one he was robbed of an Academy Award nomination for)

The All American Rejects held a release party last night in Los Angeles for their new album Kids In The Street that was released yesterday. The video for lead single, "Beekeeper's Daughter" was directed by Issac Rentz (Blink-182, Cage The Elephant, Motion City Soundtrack), and includes a cameo from none other then Wayne Newton.
Front man Tyson Ritter says of the new LP's sound:
“I feel like we've come into a sound that is really original for us,”“You can also hear it on ‘Gonzo’ and ‘Fast & Slow.’ We're putting in doses of instrumentation, like horns and various synths, that we've never injected into our music before, and I think it's taken our sound to a different place.”
Check out the Beekeeper's Daughter video and don't forget their album is now available on iTunes.

Dance-fused/rock band Crash Boom Bang has just released their very first single called V.I.P. from their debut album These Wild Things.
This Washington, D.C. band is made up of lead singer Omar Ruiz, guitarist Chaucer, drummer Mauricio Rivero, and bassist Raul Rivero. The group writes their own songs but don't want to be lumped into the 'boy band' genre:
"Make no mistake, we're no boy band," assures the group. "We all play instruments, write our own music and talk with our fans."

I just fell in love with Russell Crowe all over again. These are the first shots of Crowe as Inspector Javert in Tom Hooper’s adaption of the musical version of Victor Hugo’s novel, Les Miserables. Perfect!
Filming is well underway as anyone who follows Crowe on Twitter will already have known (I believe the horse’s name is Gymet), not to mention we just had some great first shots of Javert’s nemesis Jean Valjean (played by Hugh Jackman).
This is Hooper’s first film since winning the Oscar for The King’s Speech. He’s certainly rounded up an impressive cast for this beloved musical. In addition to Jackman and Crowe, the movie also stars Anne Hathaway, Eddie Redmayne, Amanda Seyfried, Samantha Barks, Frances Ruffelle and Colm Wilkinson.
The pics come courtesy of The Daily Mail (with a tip o’ the pin to HeyUGuys). Les Miserables will be in theaters in the US starting December 23 and 11th January in the UK. I can't wait!
*title of the post comes from a lyric to Inspector Javert/Little People from the score of the musical

Here’s your first look at Hugh Jackman, indeed of anyone, from the set of Tom Hooper’s adaptation of Victor Hugo’s Les Miserables. Can we get one thing straight? If Jackman does look like a hobo or a street person, it’s called being in character. He’s supposed to! Jackman is playing Jean Valjean, the man convicted and sentenced to twenty two years of hard labor for stealing a loaf of bread to feed his starving family. (If other movie or entertainment writers didn’t read Hugo’s rather large tome, then surely they are familiar with the Broadway show that’s been running longer than some of them have been alive? You know, the one on which this movie is based?)
Okay, rant over. (I’m a little sensitive because I loved the book and it is my all-time favorite musical. The Broadway recording is on my iPod. I know all the words and am not afraid to sing it at the top of my lungs.)
Hugh Jackman joins a cast studded with huge names, like Russell Crowe as Inspector Javert ( a role for which Paul Bettany was considered), Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen as the Thenardiers, Amanda Seyfried is Cosette, Eddie Redmayne is her love interest Marius, Anne Hathaway is Fantine (do you think her song and dance with Jackman during the Oscar ceremony she didn’t ruin was her audition for this?) and Samantha Barks is Eponine, a role she played in the 25th anniversary concert at the O2 Arena in London. What I love love love about the cast is that Hooper has found places for the likes of Colm Wilkinson, the original Jean Valjean in London and on Broadway (I’ve included his rendition of “Bring Him Home” because it’s not to be missed and I cannot wait to hear Jackman’s. Okay I included Alfie Boe just for kicks because it'll knock your socks off.) as well as Frances Ruffelle who originated Eponine in London and then on Broadway where she earned a Tony.
Composer Claude-Michel Schonberg and lyricist Alain Boublil wrote a new song exclusively for the film. Schönberg also composed new incidental music. (All the better to win those Oscars with my dear.)
Les Miserables will open in theaters in the US and Canada on December 14 *coughOscarbaitcough* and then on 13th January in the UK.
