Nicki Minaj has just inked a seven figure Pepsi Deal and also said buh-bye to her talent representation CAA. She has rolled up all of her representation(tour and business) into her own management company Blueprint Group. This coming just weeks before the April 3rd debut of her album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded
In addition to filming an international commercial for the soft drink maker (it's already in the can, no pun intended), she will also be the face of their new product Pop, a natural soda..
No word on the specific amount she got for the Pepsi deal but seven figures is pretty damned good! 2012 is looking to be a fabulous year for the rapper what with her performing with Madonna at Super Bowl, being an ambassador for Mac Viva Glam (which brings about AIDS awareness) and now this news.

Beyonce may have just given birth to her and Jay Z's little Angel Blue Ivy, but papa Carter wants Bey back in the spotlight and has approached Live Nation with a $150 Million tour deal! A source told the NYP:
“Just weeks after the birth of Blue Ivy, Jay met with Live Nation to discuss a tour for Beyoncé. He wanted a deal worth about $150million, but they countered with a lower offer.”
What Jay Z wants, Jay Z gets especially for the mother of his child. Regardless of the paycheque if Beyonce tours it is guaranteed to be sold out in record time.
NYP is also reporting that Live Nation issued a 'no comment' on this story and no one from the Carter camp returned their request for comment.

Lana Del Ray shared her music video for Blue Jeans, the third single from her Born to Die debut album and it's kind of Chris Isaak Wicked Games-like isn't it? Her video was directed by Yoann Lemoine whereas Isaak's was done by the late Herb Ritts.
The video is retro with Del Ray donning a white one-piece swim suit and the entire think shot in black and white. The man in the video with her is Bradley Soileau who has appeared in her Born to Die video. The sexy video features Soileau inserting a couple of fingers into her mouth which normally could be very sexy, but she lays there and it just looks like he's trying to make her vomit.
This Thursday she will perform on American Idol and promises her fans that the album artwork for Blue Jeans is on it's way.
What do you think of the video?

Madonna's new album MDNA is set to drop on March 26 and we've had glimpses of some of the music including 'Give Me All Your Luvin' featuring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. (who totally pissed Madge off because of her middle finger Super Bowl antic) and Girl Gone Wild.
Now we present to you I F****D Up which everyone is saying has to do with her marriage to Guy Ritchie. If this is true does that mean she hopes for a reconciliation at some point? This song is quite a departure from the strong-willed, unapologetic icon we've all come to know, isn't it? Check out some of the lyrics:
‘I’m so ashamed you’re in so much pain, I blamed you when things didn’t go my way. If I didn’t you still be here.’
‘I could have just kept my big mouth closed, I could have just done what I was told. Maybe I could have turned silver into gold but in front of you I was cold.’
Check out the audio and tell us what you think.

Given the title of the song, you've probably figured out it's VERY MUCH **NSFW**
If you've never heard of Cherri Bomb that will soon be a thing of the past because this all-girl rock band is INCREDIBLE. How long has it been since we've had an all girl band that can kick some serious butt? Your prayers have been answered kittens.
We're giving you a taste of what to expect from them with their 'Let It Go' which was filmed at the Readings and Leeds Festival in August of 2011. On May 15 their album This is the End of Control, from Hollywood Records hits shelves. Last year they released a 5 song LP called Stark.
If you aren't convinced by the video itself know that the likes of the Foo Fighters and Smashing Pumpkins. What is wild is they range in age from 13-16. What were you doing when you were those ages? Impressive, isn't it? They are managed by the drummer of Hole Samantha Maloney who put her career on hold for these girls.
The parents of leader singer Julia Pierce knew that a move to Los Angeles (from New Jersey) was necessary to let their daughter blossom. Says Julia:
“When I got an electric guitar,” she says, “I realized that I wanted and needed to start my own band. I posted ads online and in local music shops around LA, looking for girl musicians my own age who were as passionate about music as I was. At the time it was hard to find girls my age who could even play instruments.”
How did they come up with the band's name?:
“We came up with the name after we read a book called ‘Cherry Bomb’,” explains Julia. “It was filled with tips on how to survive as a girl in rock & roll, and stories from badass women in rock. It inspired us because of its confident message. We think of the name CHERRI BOMB as an explosive, in-your-face, attitude-driven symbol.”
These girls are going to be performing at the SXSW Festival as well as Bamboozle:

I have a case of the sads. Davy Jones, lead singer of the best made-up for television band ever, The Monkees, has died. Only 66, Jones suffered a heart attack at his home in Florida. Jones is survived by his wife Jessica Pacheco (his 3rd wife) and 4 daughters from previous marriages.
The Monkees were formed by NBC in 1965 when Jones, along with Mickey Dolenz, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork, successfully auditioned to play a band (Stephen Stills had auditioned and was turned down) around which the show would revolve in a kind of sanitized, tv serial version of The Beatles’ movies, Help! and A Hard Day’s Night. It ran from 1966-1968. (It moved to CBS for a final season in 1969). The antithesis of the most popular acts of the time like The Rolling Stones and The Doors, the band, with their squeaky clean image became the original “bubble-gum pop band” and their performances on the show were in fact a precursor to MTV. They were responsible for several enormously popular songs including three Billboard number 1 hits – "Daydream Believer," "Last Train to Clarksville" and "I'm a Believer."
Girls of a certain age probably also remember Jones for his guest appearance, as himself, on The Brady Bunch where Marcia tried desperately to get Jones to play her prom. She was rewarded with a kiss on the cheek and a special song. Jones, Dolenz and Tork (Nesmith left the band after the show was cancelled) continued to tour (off and on) and played their last gig on February 19.
Here’s my favorite Monkees song. I dare you not to sing along:

Mariah Carey worked several times with Whitney Houston over her career and the two were friends despite the rumors of a rivalry. She attended Whitney's funeral service and told Good Morning America this past week:
I'm almost incapable of talking about this still. It's very heavy emotionally…
"[The service] was gorgeous. Such a class act. The way she went out and the way family dealt with it, I was very moved."
If you notice in the video Mariah has such a huge smile on her face every time she's with Whitney. The friendship and love was and is totally sincere.
