“Courage Has No Color” Watch the New Red Tails Trailer!
Just in time for Veteran’s Day, Lucasfilm has released another trailer and a new poster for Anthony Hemingway’s Red Tails. The story of a crew of African American pilots in the Tuskegee training program, having faced segregation while kept mostly on the ground during World War II, they are called into duty under the guidance of Col. A.J. Bullard (Terence Howard). George Lucas has put a chunk of his own change on this so I’m guessing whatever we’re seeing in these trailers, including all of the awesome aerial fight sequences, is but the beginning. I’m looking forward to this.
Synopsis: 1944. As the war in Europe continues to take its toll on Allied forces, the Pentagon brass has no recourse but to consider unorthodox options – including the untried and untested African-American pilots of the experimental Tuskegee training program. Just as the young Tuskegee men are on the brink of being shut down and shipped back home, they are given the ultimate chance to show their courage. Against all the odds, with something to prove and everything to lose, these intrepid young airmen take to the skies to fight for their country – and the fate of the free world.
Take a look at the retro comic- inspired poster as well. Red Tails stars Howard along with Cuba Gooding, Jr., Bryan Cranston, Gerald McRainey, Michael B. Jordan, Aml Ameen, Tristan Wilds, Ne-Yo, Method Man, David Oyelowo, Andre Royo, Theo James, Josh Dallas, Lee Turgesen and Daniela Rush. It flies into theaters January 20 in the US.
