Oprah - Final Show At Chicago United Center

Oprah wasn’t about to go out small….we all knew that from the get go.  But she really, really pulled it out for her final taping last night.  In Chicago,  Oprah did her final show in the United Center where over 20,000 of her fans were in attendance.

There wasn’t an empty seat in the house.  Surprised?  Yeah, I didn’t think so.  We know that Will and Jada Pinkett Smith were slated for the final guest spots… then some big wigs in the audience were Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Madonna, and Maria Shriver.  I um.. uhhhh… think Maria should have hopped on that big old stage and made a big old statement… we shall see… maybe she did!

Will you be watching this final show?  Do you even care that Oprah’s show is ending or could you care less?

Dr. Phil pulled some pretty shady business when he tried to “out scoop” the woman who discovered him, Oprah.  Who messes with Oprah?  What, is he nuts?

TMZ got their hands on the legal papers filed in a lawsuit against Dr. Phil for allegedly defaming two men in the Natalee Holloway case.  (The girl who disappeared in Aruba.)

Oprah Attempted Suicide While Pregnant at Age 14

Oprah had already scheduled an exclusive interview with Natalee’s mother, Beth on September 20, 2005. Dr. Phil was also trying to get an interview when he discovered Oprah was already on it.

Dr. Phil and his staff had a few emails exchanged between them and they are the proof that Dr. Phil tried to screw over Oprah:

One of the producers wrote an email to Phil, saying she had found out that Oprah had an interview with Beth. The producer had a plan: “But we can OUT SCOOP Oprah & do the show w/ her first no matter what we find tomorrow we still have an interesting show – plus only YOU can really help.”

Phil (using initials DPM – Dr. Phil McGraw) responded, “WE DEFINITELY NEED TO SCOOP THE DEAL SO IF WE NEED TO SHOOT THIS WEEK THEN LETS DO IT.” Phil adds this caution: “IF SHE [Beth] TELLS THE OPRAH PEOPLE ABOUT US THEY WILL LIKELY ATTEMPT TO DERAIL IT BY MOVING UP THEIR SCHEDULE.”

The producer responds, “Grea[t] & she won’t say anything to oprahs peeps she knows it would jeopardize what we are doing – I’ll email you both tomorrow as soon as I talk to jamie & we can go from there!! Yippie scoopen the big O!!”

OMG.  When this goes public… like it is right now, Dr. Phil is going to get so much heat.  People LOVE Oprah and anyone screwing with her is going to bring serious backlash.  Can you say ratings suicide?  Dr. Phil, you are an idiot.

Michael Vick, 30 was set to have a sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey but has cancelled:

After careful consideration, I will need to postpone the taping of the Oprah Winfrey interview scheduled for February 22,”

“I admire and respect Oprah and hope to be able to participate in an interview in the future.”

Allow me to translate: I completely forgot that Oprah was a major animal lover (particularly dogs) and it occurred to me she will kick my very dumb ass. Once I untuck my man-sack from my nether-regions, uncoil from my thumb-sucking fetal position, I will give the interview. Or not. Notice I said ‘hope to be able to participate’.

Vick, a Philadelphia Eagles quarterback did a stint in jail after being convicted of dog fighting and this would have been his first interview since being released.

I can forgive a lot of things, but using dogs in dog-fighting? I don’t think so, especially when the first thing out of his mouth was he didn’t know it was going on.

He has however claimed to be disgusted by his cruelty to animals and found God when he was in jail. That’s fine and dandy, but would you let him pet-sit your dog?

Oprah has been teasing us with trailers for today’s show telling us she has a BIG family secret she will be revealing. And that big news is that she has a half-sister! Having the best sister in the world (and the best soul sista in the world) she has no idea how great her life is going to get. And to think Oprah probably has the best life on the planet!

Her sister, Patricia was put up for adoption and went from foster home to foster home until she was adopted at the age of 7. Can you imagine HER shock when she learned Oprah was her sister! Life just changed dramatically for her.

Don’t worry Gayle, Oprah will still be your BFF. I have to be honest, I expected her to reveal she had a child we didn’t know about or something. But to have a sister you never knew you had has got to be one of the best surprises for her.

Well there’s a shocking confession for you. Piers Morgan interviewed Oprah on his new CNN show Monday night and wow.  We got a lot more from her than we ever expected.

We are so used to watching Oprah get others to open up, but now, it was her turn.

Oprah said that after so many years of sexual abuse, that began when she was only 9, she began “running the streets” and landed herself in a detention home. Her mom got sick of the drama and sent her  to live with her father in Nashville when she was 14 and secretly pregnant.

When she arrived,

“My father … said to me as I’m standing in the kitchen listening to him, ‘These are the rules of the house, you’re going to obey the rules, you have a 10 o’clock curfew, and I would rather see a daughter of mine floating down the Cumberland River … than to bring shame on this family and the indecency of an illegitimate child,’” she remembered. “I know that I’m pregnant, so I’m thinking I’m just going to have to kill myself.  I did stupid things like drinking detergent and that crazy stuff that you do when you are trying to get attention when you are really just trying to cry for help.  I don’t even know what I thought the plan was going to be. That’s why I relate so much to young girls in that situation. There isn’t the great stigma [today] that it was when I was in school. When I was 14 [and] you are having a baby out of wedlock, your life is over.”

When her ankles bean to swell from the pregnancy, they took her to the hospital where she confessed she was pregnant.  That strain put her into labor and the baby died.

Oprah admits that she was relieved when the baby died.

“It was my second chance.  I went back to school and nobody knew because had anybody known at that time, I wouldn’t have been able to be head of the student council. I wouldn’t have been able to be speaking champion in forensics. I wouldn’t have been able to be Miss fire prevention. I wouldn’t have been chosen as one of the two teenagers in the state of Tennessee to go to the White House conference on youth. None of those things would have happened. The entire trajectory of my life would have been different.”

I am honestly a bit on the speechless side right now.  That is a very heavy story and I need to digest it.  Feel free to share your thoughts below.

Oprah.com says,

“Controversial octomom Nadya Suleman says she’s financially destitute. Now, Suze Orman intervenes.”

OctoMom Saves The House, For a Minute

So you know how it will go…. Oprah is going to give Octomom the balloon payment to save her house, either that or she’s going to pay it off for her altogether.
