The 64th Annual Cannes Film Festival kicks off tonight with an out-of-competition screening of Woody Allen’s newest, Midnight in Paris.

A romantic comedy, the film’s plot centers around an American family in Paris both for business and pleasure. The party includes a young engaged couple (Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams) “forced to confront the illusion that a life different from their own is better.” In addition to Wilson and McAdams, the movie sports another of Allen’s famous star-studded casts, including Michael Sheen, Marion Cotillard, Tom Hiddleston (Loki in Thor), Kathy Bates and another one of my personal faves, Adrien Brody.

Adrien Brody plays Salvador Dali in what I can only imagine is a dream sequence of some sort. Frankly, I think that’s inspired casting. Brody, an Academy Award winner for 2002′s The Pianist, clearly marches to the beat of his own drummer.

Next month will finally see the US release of the film Adrien made with Penelope Cruz back in 2008. In The Matador’s Mistress, Brody plays Spanish matador Manuel Rodríguez Sánchez (called Manolete by his fans-the film’s previous title) and Cruz plays Lupe Sino. Apparently the love scenes are smokin’! The film will be released on dvd and VOD on June 7.

So we already got to find out that Owen Wilson is a new daddy.  But that was about it.  We know that he had a boy and he entered the world in Hawaii.  But how about the stats, and a name?

Owen and his girlfriend, Jade Duell welcomed their first baby together at 10:47am in Hawaii on Friday after 18 hours of labor. Jade opted for a natural birth, at home, with no meds… yeah, I’ve never understood that one.  Anyhow, props to her for that!  She gave birth via water birth.  Owen has a gorgeous, waterfront home in Maui.  Yeah, that’s a good focal point.

Owen Wilson Welcomes A Boy!

They named the little guy Ford Linton Wilson and he weighed in at 6 pounds, 3 ounces.

“Owen and Jade are thrilled!” an insider tells Star. “Owen has been doing a celebratory hula dance all afternoon! It’s a beautiful boy and everyone is incredibly happy!”

Owen said,

“I was completely in awe, crying as I watched our baby being born.”

That is so sweet.  OMG.  I love him even more now.  Adorable.

Owen Wilson and his girlfriend Jade Duell welcomed a baby boy today in Hawaii US Weekly is reporting exclusively. When I heard last week that he was going to be a dad soon I was surprised to learn he even had a girlfriend.

Apparently he has been very excited about becoming a father and very involved with the pregnancy. Did he carry the child? No. So how involved could he possibly get? I’m kidding. I think it’s great when guys get involved in the whole pregnancy child-rearing thing. It’s quite hot actually. Who wants a momma’s boy that makes the woman do everything?

According to the source Owen:

“has been doing research and learning as much as he can,” a source adds. “He’s super into it and asks a lot of questions to make sure he knows what’s going on every step of the way.”

Isn’t  that super sweet? I hope this is the beginning of a new chapter and all his difficulties are in the past. Namely Kate Hudson. HOLLA.

Congratulations to the happy couple. No word yet on the little fella’s name.

Ben Stiller and his original ‘Zoolander‘ days are about a decade in the past.  So I’d say that a sequel is long overdue.  We still have a bit of a wait on the release of ‘Zoolander 2‘ since it’s not slated until 2012.  But we do know that it is happening.

In this sure to be a total riot sequel, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson will be returning to the catwalk as Derek Zoolander and Hansel.  This time they are fighting the aging clock as they are turning 40.

Russell Brand & Jonah Hill @ ‘Greek’ London Photocall

The cast will also include the villain, Mugatu played by Will Ferrell and they are adding another villain that will be the one and only, Jonah Hill!   There are going to be a few surprises along the way and I am more than giddy to see what they will bring to the table.

Mindless comedy?  Absolutely.  Give me a bunch of quirky, crazy men and a bucket of laughs and I am sold.  Cheers to ‘Zoolander 2′ coming in 2012!
