Matchbox Twenty To Release New Album This Year!

FINALLY! Rob Thomas has taken to Twitter to confirm that Matchbox Twenty will be back with a new album this year! The band has been working on an album for a while now, but anything worthwhile is worth waiting for, right? The band's drummer Paul Doucette said earlier this year (regarding the release of the album):
"That's the same question I was asking. We don't know — the beginning of next year, we hope. It's a real important record for us. We haven't done anything in a long time. The older we get, the more we realize and appreciate the good fortune we have to do what we do at this level. Realistically, how many more times do we get? So we're going to really make this record the one we want it to be.
But on the MatchBox Twenty Twitter account:

Like I said, anything worthwhile is worth waiting for!
In the meanwhile if you happen to be in Atlantic City this weekend you can catch Rob performing two shows at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa to benefit his and his wife Marisol's Sidewalk Angels Foundation whose purpose is:
The primary supporter and sponsor of a number of no-kill animal shelters and animal rescues, reflecting the passion of the foundation's co-founders to fight for the rights and fair treatment of those with no voice. Additionally, the foundation also supports a myriad of other causes, from childhood health and wellness to the fight against homelessness.
Just another reason to love Rob Thomas!
