Katy Perry hosted last night's Saturday Night Live with Robyn as musical guest and I have to say one of the best moments of the night was when Alec Baldwin appeared on the Weekend Update With Seth Myers portion as Capt. Steve Rogers of American Airlines apologizing to Alec Baldwin for their mistreatment of him:

"It was awful, Seth," Rogers, 'which is why it was very important for me to come here tonight and on behalf of everyone at American Airlines issue an apology to Mr. Alec Baldwin." 

Hearing the audience go nuts when he rolled out in his chair was amazing. The skit itself, while it had it's moments, went on a bit too long and seemed to be saying more of the same thing over and over, but the whole premise of him getting the final word to American Airlines in a spoof is genius.

Great things are happening for pop sensation Robyn! She received “Best Dance Recording” GRAMMY® nomination for her single “Dancing On My Own” where she was nominated alongside pop sensations Lady Gaga, La Roux, Goldfrapp, and Rihanna. The award which will be handed out on February 13th, 2010 at the 53rd Annual GRAMMY® Awards.

Robyn recently wrapped up a US tour in support of Body Talk, and she will be returning to the states for a new string of dates starting January 29th into February including a headlining show at the legendary Radio City Music Hall.  The Swedish siren has released three albums in 2010 culminating in the final installment, Body Talk, which features five songs from the first two albums (including a duet with Snoop Dogg) and five brand new songs including the Max Martin-produced “Time Machine.”

Robyn recently gave fans a look into her whirlwind year with an intimate “Day In The Life” video.  She also shares the electrifying experience of one of her live shows in a full streaming concert on MySpace.  Body Talk, featuring “Dancing On My Own,” “Hang With Me” and “Indestructible” is available via Cherrytree Records on iTunes and Amazon now.

International pop sensation Robyn performed a cover of Bjork’s “Hyperballad” at the Polar Music Prize ceremony in Stockholm.  Bjork was an award recipient at the show and was able to watch Robyn’s stunning live tribute from the audience.

Robyn’s new album Body Talk PT 2 is due out on September 7th in the US via Cherrytree Records.

I almost didn’t recognize Bjork without a swan wrapped around her neck.

Swedish singing sensation Robyn hit Toronto’s Molson Amplitheatre last night as part of her tour.  On September 7th she will release Body Talk PT 2 on Cherrytree Records. I think Sweden may be a bit behind the times insofar as pants go?

Robyn has premiered the video for her new single “Hang With Me” which she premiered on Robyn.com.

The Max Vitali directed video features behind the scenes footage from the Swedish singer on tour.

This is the lead single from Robyn‘s 2nd album of a 3 part trilogy, Body Talk Pt. 2, which offers the clearest example yet of Robyn’s pop prowess; 8 songs that crystallize her preoccupation with hypnotic repetition, propulsive beats and infectious hooks, and lyrics which display the kind of unabashed emotional vulnerability that only comes with true self-confidence.

Body Talk PT 2 will be available September 7th on Cherrytree Records, and it is further proof that Robyn’s understanding and love of pop music is as intrinsic as it is accomplished.
