Russell Brand keeps it classy appearing on Ellen DeGeneres to promote his latest movie Rock of Ages when asked about Katy Perry:

 "I still love her as a human being, but, sometimes when you're in a relationship, I suppose it doesn't work out.

"That doesn't mean I regret it or anything. I was very happy to be married with her. She's such a beautiful human being and I just have only love and positivity for her… That is still a person I still consider to be beautiful and I have nothing but positivity for her."

Brand 36 and Perry 27, were married for 14 months when he filed for divorce on December 30, 2011. Say what you will about him, but this guy is total class. He has never once said anything negative about her or about their time together. No mud-slinging here.

Ellen then brings out sisters Sophia Grace and Rosie who also hail from Brand's hometown of Essex, and the three of them sit on the couch together and just have a blast. You can really see how fabulous he is with kids. Of the two girls Sophia is the wild one but in the sweetest way. Check out the video!

You know, when I heard those rumors that Russell Brand sent Katy Perry an email after he saw her at the 2012 Coachella with that dude from that band, I KNEW they were not true. I mean, come on. This is a man who is stone-cold sober and knows what he's doing. 

Today we acknowledge that there is no way in hell he is begging her to come back or that filing for divorce was the biggest mistake of his life: he has unfollowed her on Twitter. Is there any other proof required? That's right, there's not. If you ever need questions answered people, turn to social media. It's there. It might be subtle, but it's there.

Mind you, IF those email rumors are true (and we know they aren't) maybe she rejected him and he said screw you! Or maybe it just freaking occurred to him that he hadn't unfollowed her ass.

Either way: my plan is coming together. He will be mine. Oh yes, he will be mine. Send condoms. Thank you.

MTV has confirmed that British funnyman Russell Brand will be hosting the 2012 MTV Movie Awards that will be held at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. He promises to make it a memorable one:

"This MTV Movie Awards will be more impressive than 'The Avengers' and you won't have to wait an hour for someone to Hulk out,"

My future lovah hosted the VMA's back in 2009 which is where his romance with ex-wife Katy Perry began. Clearly he's not holding that against MTV, but I can totally see the media taking this and running with it claiming he's trying to relive those memories, blah blah blah.

Recently it's been reported that he sent her an email regretting he filed for divorce ever since he saw pictures of her with her new boyfriend at Coachella. I call b.s. on that rumor because this is a man who wouldn't make a life decision like that lightly).

But I digress (do not get me started). The executive producer for Movie Awards, Jesse Ignjatovic:

"First of all, I think Russell's the perfect host for this show," "He's a movie star. He's probably one of the most brilliant stand-ups that I've seen in his time, and he's a rock star."

This hosting gig coincides with the release of his movie Rock of Ages which hits theatres June 15.

Jesse's bro crush on Russell is evident:

"Whatever we end up creating around him within the show, he brings that danger thing as well," Ignjatovic said. "We'd love for the show to live there, where you don't know how he's going to react to something in the moment. He's so sharp and witty and on his game that that's an exciting place to live."

"He has amazing comedic chops. He's brilliant. He touches all of the areas that I think are important to us," he said. "Add to that I think he's one of the most professional people I've worked with in terms of comedians. He's well-studied and very dedicated to his craft. I think we're very fortunate that he said 'yes.' "

In all seriousness, aside from the holes (it's probably an expensive designer outfit that is meant to look that way…I have tops like that but they don't see the light of day), I love this look on him. He looks hot here in a very rock star, crazy kind of way. Crazy translates to intense and I think we both know what I mean.

Anywho, he feels drugs should be decriminalized:

''A good number of times I was arrested was simply for possession and the administrative costs of that would be better spent, I think, on education and addressing the costs of treatment. I think that would be a very, very sensible use of those redirected funds.

''I'm not a legal expert, but I'm saying that to a drug addict, the legal status is irrelevant. It is at best an inconvenience. If you need to get drugs because you're a drug addict, you're going to get drugs regardless of their legal status so the more money you waste in administering and controlling that … I think there's a futility to it.''

''I think some people can safely take drugs, I think they can … As long as it doesn't turn them into criminals, or harm their health, then I don't feel as if it's any of my business.

''Let's have an authoritative, truthful, honest debate and some funding for abstinence-based recovery.''

I see his point, completely and if someone isn't committing a criminal act the money would be better spent helping them to recover. The only problem with that is they need to be at the place where they want to recover.

While I love him and what he stands for, after viewing this video I think he would drive me crazy if he were that animated all the time. Maybe he was a bit nervous and became Chatty Cathy.

Stories are swirling around the internet that Katy Perry wants to reconcile with my future lover (her ex-husband) Russell Brand and I'm calling B.S. on this one although I wouldn't blame her one bit because he probably rocked her world in more ways than one. And seeing him in this video just confirms to me he would probably be pretty amazing to hang with.

The story first originated on US Weekly with their 'exclusive' on how she is miserable and realizes she misses him yada, yada, yada. But remember back when she and Russell first split and all of those stories were coming out? She made a statement on Twitter that NO ONE speaks for her so I'm pretty sure this 'source' doesn't speak for her. Or maybe they heard her say it. Who knows. This close pal of hers tells the publication:

Katy's been trying to get him back!"  "She's a lost soul right now."

While on the one hand I can see where she may wish she were back with him because her actions since the split speak of someone crying out for attention (see here, here and here and not to mention one week after he filed for divorce her 'heart is happy again') or incredibly hurt which makes this story even more unbelievable. And she's also back to smoking which to me could mean something.

The ex-hubby has been boinking his way through Hollywood and seems at peace with the fact that they aren't married any more, so even if she came crawling on her knees, while he may be delighted she's assumed the position (he is a pig afterall), it doesn't seem like settling down is in his future ever again.

Just remember the opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference (like Russell is toward her and marriage) and that is usually impossible to turn around.

Only Russell Brand would visit fans in their home while he is on location. He's that down-to-earth and unassuming. When he was filming in New Orleans (Diablo Cody's project?) when a fan (HeavenlyHannah1194 on YouTube) says:

I heard he was filming in Metairie, Louisiana, very close to my house. So I went there, I watched him film a scene then I waved, and he waved back and walked up to me. So we talked, took pictures, he's a really nice guy. He was asking people where they lived and he went into 2 houses that I know of. Very down to earth, and he treats everyone equally. Which makes him all the more attractive lol.

I totally agree his hot factor just when up ten-fold. Granny was flirting with him, and when someone offered to replace Katy he wasn't disrespectful but charming nonetheless although I couldn't really make out what he said.

Katy Perry's ex-husband (and my future lovah) Russell Brand is in talks to do a documentary on addiction with the BBC that he is willing to do for free. The cause is close to his heart as he has battled years of drug addiction and lost his friend Amy Winehouse to the same disease:

"We need to review the way society treats addicts … we need to look at the way our government funds rehabilitation. It is cheaper to rehabilitate an addict than to send them to prison, so criminalisation doesn't even make economic sense."

Russell and the BBC parted ways in 2008 after he and Jonathan Ross made a prank phone call to Andrew Sachs with regards to Sach's granddaughter that wasn't in very good taste at all (I have since forgiven him and moved passed it, although he did kind of break my heart when he got married so I'm working through that still).

The second trailer for Rock of Ages has appeared online and we finally get to hear a little bit of Tom Cruise as he belts out Bon Jovi’s "Livin' on a Prayer". He certainly looks the part (not bad for a 48 year old that’s for damn sure) and he appears to be having a blast.

Directed by Adam Shankman (Hairspray) and based on the Tony Award nominated Broadway musical, it’s set in 1987and follows a fresh off the bus sweet-young-thing who comes to LA with stars in her eyes and big '80s hair. There, she meets a nice guy with ambitions of his own (Diego Boneta). When they meet, it's love at first sight, though their romance will face a series of challenges as they are seduced by the sex-drugs and rocknroll way of life personified by superstar Stacee Jaxx (Cruise), who meanwhile is falling for music journalist Malin Akerman.

The cast features Alec Baldwin (who could easily steal Tom Cruise’s thunder), Paul Giamatti, Russell Brand, Mary J. Blige, Catherine Zeta Jones and Julianne Hough playing the doe-eyed ingénue. It also features Will Forte, Bryan Cranston and Constantine Maroulis.

Rock of Ages includes the music of iconic bands such as Journey, Def Leppard, Foreigner, Jefferson Starship, Twisted Sister and Poison.  The nostalgia, at least for me and probably my generation, is winning over the cheese factor so far. Perhaps because I lived through it, the big hair, spandex, padded shoulders and garish colors don’t cross the line into parody. The Bourbon Room is obviously The Whiskey, Catherine Zeta Jones and her band of manicured over-privileged housewives is obviously Tipper Gore’s Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC), but Stacee Jaxx could be any number of hard-partying rock icons. Probably a little bit of Axl Rose, a little bit of Bret Michaels, a soupcon of Vince Neill, a dash of Tommy Lee, and a dollop of David Lee Roth would be my guess.

Gotta love the monkey, especially since it’s doing the spanking. *cough*

Rock of Ages opens June 1 in the US and 8^th June in the UK. More to follow I’m sure.
