Pity the Poor Germans, Deprived of Robert Downey Jr’s Snappy Patter

There is another new international trailer for The Avengers, this one in German (via the film's German Facebook page), a perfect companion to the German trailer released in December. While we don’t get to hear the original actors’ voices, since they are dubbed, we are rewarded for watching, since this trailer is essentially the same as the English version released last week, with a bit more footage, which is always worthwhile. The earlier German trailer features even more material not in the English versions.
For the record, we need more of Loki's (Tom Hiddleston) strut. Just sayin'.
Both of these German trailers go a long way toward setting up the antagonistic relationship between Tony Stark/Iron Man (RobertDowney, Jr.) and Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans). Our friends at Comic Book Movie have taken the time to translate a bit of the sniping going on in these clips. The animosity is comes through very well in print and it’s pretty good in German, but I can only imagine how hilarious it will be when we get RDJ’s trademarked delivery.
Enjoy the trailers. The Avengers Assemble 27th April in the UK and The Avengers opens May 4 in the US and Canada.
New:
The dialogue for that new Stark vs. Rogers scene:
Tony Stark: … and following orders is obviously not my style.
Steve Rogers: And everyone knows that style is all you care about.
Tony Stark: From all the people around here, who wears the most figure-hugging outfit?
From the final exchange with Stark irritating Banner, as the latter examines what appears to be an extraterrestrial weapon:
Tony Stark: I promise a stress-free environment. No surprises. (zaps Bruce)
Bruce Banner: Ow!
Steve Rogers: Hey!
Tony Stark: You really got it under control, don’t you. What’s your secret? Relaxing Jazz, bongo drums?
Steve Rogers: Is everything like a joke to you?
Tony Stark: If it’s funny!
