Shia LaBeouf is single again.  This is great news for all those girls who love them some Shia.  For his now ex, Carey Mulligan, life sucks.

Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps Premieres in New York

This non-couple met on the set of ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps‘ and hit it off quick style.  But it seems like their relationship ended in the same fashion.  Their busy schedules are being blamed for the fail.  That’s weak and oh so generic.  They are movie stars.  They met in the middle of busy schedules.  That’s as used as ‘irreconcilable differences’ on divorce docs.

Carey has been bunking it out at a Best Western since the split and plans to return to the UK after she finishes her latest film, ‘Drive.’  You can do so much better, keep your chin up Carey!

So it looks like Carey got the short end of the stick and Shia is happily living his life, filming ‘Transformers 3.’  He doesn’t seem like the best boyfriend material….. watch out single ladies!

Michael Douglas and his wife Catherine Zeta Jones attended last night’s New York premiere of Wall Street 2:  Money Never Sleeps despite the actor battling stage IV throat cancer and undergoing chemotherapy and radiation.  That’s quite remarkable, isn’t it?

His co-star Shia LaBeouf talked about how working with the acting legend was surreal:

“He’s got a nice way of easing everybody’s tensions,”  ”When you walk onto a set like this, where it’s sacred ground, there’s a legacy at stake. But your mascot puts you at ease.”

And despite what Michael is going through, Shia learned about strength the most from him:

“He is a wolf, and he is a strong man,” he said. “And I know of his vulnerabilities. When he came to set … he was dealing with a lot, but never was it, ‘Woe is me.’ Ever.”

[Douglas has] “a face they’re going to paint on walls,” “They’re going to remember him forever. You can’t say that about a lot of people. He’s an American institution. It’s intimidating and incredible and exhilarating and rewarding.”

Michael didn’t speak with any reporters at the premiere but his other costar Josh Brolin (dear lord isn’t he incredibly gorgeous?) said Michael was:

“doing as well as can be expected. I think the fact that the guy’s coming out here in the first place is a testament to who he is, to his character … He’s not hiding, and I think that’s great.”

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Patrick Dempsey is filming scenes for Transformers 3 on a street named Wacker. Use your imagination.

Anyhoo Patrick and Shia LaBeouf are filming their scenes for Transformers 3 and this got me thinking I still haven’t watched the final 2 shows of Grey’s Anatomy. What the hell is wrong with me?

I have a confession to make:  I have never seen a Transformers movie ever (or a Bond movie if anyone is asking).  But now that Patrick Dempsey is in it, you know I will be watching. And slobbering down my chiny chin chin.

The movie is supposed to be in theatres July 2, 2011.  That’s now less than a year away!

The passenger with Shia in his weekend crash was Isabel Lucas, 23, his co-star in the upcoming film Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.  The production of that movie has been delayed approximately one month while Shia recovers from his hand surgery.

That’s got to be a very costly mistake to have production of a movie shut down for a month.  Aren’t insurance premiums for movies affected by things like this?  Won’t that impact future projects for him?

LaBeouf was seen at L.A.’s Troubador nightclub before the crash.  According to an eyewitness:

“he was dancing around and acting really crazy… he kept doing shots of whiskey.”

It is being reported that:

Shia LaBeouf made a left turn and collided with an oncoming car about 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of La Brea and Fountain avenues. The actor’s Ford F-150 pickup truck rolled over in the crash.  LaBeouf sustained injuries to his head, left hand and knee.  He was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for surgery (on his hand) and has been released.

LaBeouf’s passenger as well as the driver of the other car involved were treated for minor inuries and released from Cedars. 

He was charged only with misdemeanor drunk driving because the injuries sustained to all parties were minor.

Back in November 2007 while in Chicago, the actor was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing after ignoring a security guard’s commands to leave a Walgreens store.  He was drunk in that scenario as well.  Those charges were later dropped as Walgreens did not want to proceed with pressing charges.

His reps have released the following statement:

“Attorneys for Mr. LaBeouf confirm that an automobile accident involving an additional party occurred early morning in Los Angeles on July 27, 2008.”  “Shia is currently recovering from extensive hand surgery with plans to return to work on the set of ‘Transformers 2’ within one month,” his reps’ statement continued. “No further comment will be issued at this time.”

 People is reporting that the 22 year old actor was arrested at about 3 a.m. in Hollywood when he was involved in a collision.

The officers at the scene noticed the apparent intoxication of the actor.  Shia, his passenger and the passengers in the other vehicle were all hurt.  The extent of which is unknown at this time.
