Britney Spears is in talks with Simon Cowell to be a judge on X Factor and it's looking like it's very, very close to being a reality. He's pretty pumped to have her and she wants on the show. And she has a big-ass crush on the British bachelor. And of course this just makes for awesome headlines and suggestions that he poses a threat to her relationship with fiance Jason Trawick. The National Enquirer is latching on to it like a pitbull claiming:

“Britney is so star struck by Simon she was willing to sign for a lot less than her management team was hold­ing out for,” said a source. “And now that he’s unattached, anything could happen.”

“Jason is a bit jealous of Simon’s babe magnet reputation,” the source revealed. “And he knows Britney has a thing for Simon.

“Jason plans on sticking close to Britney if she does the show. He knows she is easily smitten, and that Simon can really turn on the charm. He just wants to make sure Britney doesn’t get carried away.”

The article claims she is willing to sign for less than $10 million just to get on the show and that Jason is insisting on around the $15 million figure. In addition to that her management team is making sure there is a 'no bullying' clause in her contract so that Simon can't be mean to her. Despite her raging crush on him she knows what he's capable of.

Despite Simon's lothario image, and Britney's crush on him, I just can't see these two getting involved. Jason is perfect for her and she knows it!

Simon Cowell was living in a 'world of debauchery' according to former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne who is pissed that she is included in his tell all biography that he apparently cooperated on according to U.K.'s Mirror.

When it was revealed in Tom Bower's Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life Of Simon Cowell that he had an affair with Dannii Minogue (while she was on the show), Osbourne apparently had a meltdown over it. But that's not so she tells the Mirror:

“I’m not Simon’s mother – I don’t give a toss who he f****.

"That’s none of my business. I think Simon thought he’d have complete control over this book.

“But how dare he bring me into it now? I don’t want to be dragged into his little world of debauchery, thank you very much.

“I get on absolutely fine with Simon – and he will be fine – but I am p***** off to be brought into it all again.”

She is also claiming that he was seeing three women at once:

“We all knew Simon and Dannii were seeing each other, it wasn’t a secret. I don’t know why he tried to hide it from everyone though – he’d already split from Terri.

“But it’ll be interesting whether the book mentions he was seeing Mezhgan, Jasmine and Julia at the same time.”

Mezhgan of course was his then-fiancee and the Jasmine she refers to is model Jasmine Lennard and his personal make-up artist is Julia Carta.

The book portrays Osbourne as an out-of-control star, and Cheryl Cole as a manipulator who acts like a victim. Sharon explains the reason she left the show in 2008:

“Dannii wanted to be the mistress of Simon Cowell – and the mistress of X Factor.

"But I didn’t leave the show because Simon and Dannii were f******, I left because she became unbearable. She started bossing everyone around, even the producers.”

The author of the book claims he spent hundreds of hours on his private yacht and plane, but Cowell's people are calling it an unauthorized autobiography. Apparently several of Simon's 'friends' also spoke to the author.

The book hits newsstands on Friday.

Janet Jackson has shown interest in being a judge on Simon Cowell's X Factor and if that's what Janet wants, chances are she's going to get it. That and the fact it would be AMAZING to have her on the show.

Janet sat down with Anderson Cooper who I guess was trying  to get it out of her:

“Oh my God,” the 45-year-old said on-air with a laugh. “No, I’m not a judge on The X Factor.”

“You’re not currently a judge on The X Factor,” responded Cooper.

“No, I am not,” said Jackson. “But that’s all I really think I should say.”

THR is reporting that Pink is also high on the list of potential replacements. I'm so excited by that prospect that I peed a little.

Simon Cowell sat down with former girlfriend, and Extra host Terri Seymour to discuss all of the rumors surrounding the X-Factor including the very shocking firings that recently occurred. Interestingly enough he blamed himself for opening his big mouth on how huge the X-Factor was going to be and when it didn't live up to expectations, there had to be a shake up:

"It's only because I opened my big mouth and said we were going to get 20 million [viewers]. If I hadn't said that, everybody would be saying the show was a huge success."

He admits that he discussed the firings with the FOX executives at the beginning of the year and reacts to Paula being fired:

"I would've liked to have kept her. She was very gracious and I said that to her. She understands it's business; it's never personal."

As for that Beyonce rumor that she is joining the X-Factor for $100 million, you can forget it. The show's entire budget is $100 million:

"No. I have no idea where this rumor came from. I read it online that I offered her $100 million a year. It's complete nonsense."

Although Simon refuses to discuss who is on the list for season 2 of the show, Terri did throw some names out there to gage his reaction: Madonna, Elton John, Mariah Carey and Katy Perry. Watch the video and see his take on those celebs.

The next season of X-Factor is going to be a whole lot different given that Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones have decided not to renew their contracts with the show. Since that announcement (yesterday) it was also being reported that Paula Abdul has been let go and will not be returning in Season 2 either. That leaves Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid. It doesn't take a genius to realize the show will not work with just those two so it's only a matter of time before the new cast of judges is announced.

According to reports Simon wants to take the show in a different direction. Could that be swirling down the toilet? Who knows? If you recall Nicole replaced Cheryl Cole who was surprised to have been fired. Now her and Simon are back on good terms so does that mean a return for her?

Steve Jones at The Prince's Trust Celebrate Success Awards

Us Weekly got the low down on Simon Cowell’s X Factor co-host, Steve Jones who will be manning the stage with Nicole Scherzinger this fall.  Here’s one obvious fact first… he’s hot!  He and Nicole are going to be the constant eye candy and I am more than okay with that.  In fact, this is going to be a really good looking crew overall!  Simon, Cheryl Cole, Paula Abdul, and L.A. Reid.

CONFIRMED: Paula Abdul Joins Simon Cowell’s ‘X-Factor’ as a Judge

Anyhow… here’s a bit on our new guy:

1. He’s already got plenty of celebrity support. After word of Jones’ appointment leaked online, CNN host Piers Morgan was quick to applaud his pal. “Congrats to Steve Jones on landing the US X Factor co-hosting gig,” Morgan Tweeted. “Great guy, really pleased for him.”

2. While Jones is a virtual unknown to American audiences, he brings a wealth of experience with him Stateside. Making his debut on TV’s BBC One in 2009 hosting Let’s Dance for Comic Relief, Jones went on to present the quizshow As Seen on TV. He’s also a seasoned actor, having appeared in small roles in Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging and Plus One.

3. Forget hours of time in the makeup chair! Jones is totally low-maintenance when it comes to grooming. “I cant be bothered! It takes too much time,” Jones told FHM.com of his beauty routine. “I want to be able to enjoy myself with my friends not be in the bathroom for 2 hours.”

4. Jones has a way with A-list ladies. The handsome host was once romantically linked with Halle Berry, Pamela Anderson and Hayden Panettiere! But don’t expect to see his former paramours pop up at tapings of the Fox series. “It sounds ruthless, but I’m not into the ‘let’s be friends’ thing. To me, ex is ex. Ex means I’m not going to see that person again,” he told U.K. paper The Sun.

5. Perhaps most importantly, he’s an X Factor fan. “It’s one of the biggest — probably the biggest — jobs in presenting at the moment,” the ex T4 presenter has said. “Of course I would love to do it. I’m a big X Factor fan.”

She’s baaacccckk. Paula Abdul is back in Simon Cowell’s life as one of the judges on the upcoming US ‘X-Factor’. Sources have told THR that the deal is done and Paula will be part of the highly-anticipated show that will be aired in September.

X-Factor starts filming today and Paula will join already announced judges Cheryl Cole and Antonio L.A. Reid. The deal for Paula to join was right down to the wire. Apparently Saturday afternoon they were still negotiating over some aspect of the contract that would have conflicted with her CBS show Live To Dance. But they got it all worked out and she will have her cute buns in the chair today to start judging.

‘X Factor’ Is Already Breaking Records

As we previosuly reported, X-Factor will be hosted by former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and U.K. presenter Steve Jones. I’m loving the group of people the U.S. version of X-Factor has assembled. If America hasn’t already fallen in love with Cheryl Cole you know they will once this show hits the air. And who doesn’t love Paula Abdul? It will be incredible to have Antonio L.A. Reid on the show. He’s a very well-respected musical producer that has been around for a long time. To meet with his approval on that show will be a big deal.
