Russell Brand just went royal. The newlywed left his wifey, Katy Perry’s side to meet Prince Charles at the 2010 Pride of Britain Awards over at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.  How perfectly obnoxious does Russell look here?  I love it.  Refinement vs. dirty, sexy grunge guy.  I’d love to be in that room, the vibe had to be more than entertaining.

Did you see who else was in attendance?   The X-Factor’s Simon Cowell and Britain’s Got Talent’s Susan Boyle.  I am sure that Russell had to refrain from cracking any harsh jokes when they were all together.

Miley Cyrus doesn’t seem to be too choked up about her alleged split with Liam Hemsworth as she makes her way through JFK Airport with her mom.  The two have been in Detroit wear Miley was filming LOL:  Laughing Out Loud.

Now that Liam is out of the picture I wonder if she will get back to Twitter.  If you remember she was big into Twitter until Liam came on the scene and he poo poo’d the idea.  I guess at the time they were sharing a brain because she had to do the same as him.  I wonder who gets custody of the brain?

Justin Bieber wants Miley to co-star with him for a remake of Grease:

It would be a lot of fun. It’s been talked about a lot over the years but it would be awesome to play Danny “I would go for Miley Cyrus without hesitation. She can sing, dance and act.”

“I’d want some great people to star in it. Wouldn’t Susan Boyle make an amazing Principal McGee? We’d just need to write it into the script that she broke into song. I am obsessed with Susan. I would love to include Cheryl Cole as well.”

Justin really does like the older ladies, oui? First Kim Kardashian and now Cheryl Cole.  He’s got pretty good taste I guess.

Would you like to see Miley and Justin do a remake of Grease? Excuse me while I wipe the vomit off of my laptop.

Penelope Cruz and Susan Boyle appeared on the French show Vivement Dimanche which translated (I believe) means something about Sunday (how’s that for translation?)  hosted by Michael Drucker.

Penelope is nominated for an Oscar in her supporting role in the musical Nine and has just been confirmed as a presenter at the award show which takes place on March 7.

Susan Boyle performed on the show and recently talked to the US TV Show CBS Sunday Morning about dealing with fame:

I was like a scared child before, but I’m not the scared person I used to be. I had to learn how to deal with a lot of publicity, and the glare of attention. And that takes a bit to get used to. But I got there in the end!”

Susan Boyle looks positively lovely as she appears on the French television show ‘Roumanoff C’est Rigolo‘ in Paris. We may be nearing the end of 2009, and her album I Dreamed A Dream was released only 2 weeks ago, but it is the 10th best selling album of the year!!

The album has sold over 1.2 million copies in just two weeks! It has managed to keep Andre Boccelli’s My Christmas album off the top of the charts.  I am so happy for Susan Boyle.

…..50 Cent telling Britain’s Daily Mirror Newspaper he’d like to collaborate with Susan Boyle.  I would LOVE to see that!

Susan Boyle is in New York at the Today Show’s concert series at Rockefeller Plaza.   Susan has broken Amazon.com’s pre-order sales with her ‘I Dreamed A Dream‘ album which will be available November 23.  The album has far exceeded any other album’s release.  I can’t think of anyone more deserving!!

Britain’s Got Talent much-loved singing phenomenon Susan Boyle gets all glammed up to pose in Harper’s Bazaar.

She talks about how life has changed:

“It does feel unreal,” she says. “It will take a bit of adjusting to because I’ve led a sheltered life, I know. I’ve got life experience, but mentally I have to adjust. But it’s all good. All good.”

She talks about singing and her mother wanting her to pursue her dreams:

“When you sing a song, you’re telling a story,” she explains. “That’s what I was doing when I sang ‘I Dreamed a Dream.’ But that wasn’t me singing about becoming a singer. It was about the position I was in after my mother died.” (her mother died at 91 in 2007)  ”I did the audition for her because she always wanted me to make something of my life, but I had to wait a bit because her death prevented me from singing for a while. I couldn’t put my heart into it. So I was singing about wanting things to be like they were before she went. You know, it was a double-edged sword because it was about what I wanted to do, but it was also about wanting to turn back to when she was with me.” Boyle pauses. “Powerful stuff,”

Susan Boyle has had fame hit her virtually overnight and it has some people wondernig if it is too much for her.  The day after Britain’s Got Talent ended, she was in hospital for exhaustion, and now she has cancelled a couple of dates on the Britain’s Got Talent tour with a source telling Britain’s Daily Mirror it’s because of a missing cat:

 ”She kept shouting, ‘I want my cat! I need my cat!’ I think people felt sorry for her as she was clearly unhappy.”   Another insider adds, “She was acting weird, scratching her belly with her top pulled up.”

I’m not sure how reliable the Daily Mirror is or how reliable these ‘sources’ are (I always take ‘sources’ with a grain of salt), but a rep for the tour simply said of the cancellations:

“She’s just tired.”

I can not imagine the enormous pressure she must feel and face given her overnight rise to stardom.  Would you be able to handle that?
