New Clip and Candy-Colored Pics from Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax!

New Clip and Candy-Colored Pics from Dr. Seuss' The Lorax!

We have a new clip from Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax! The clip is called “Animal Surprise” and it’s a hilarious scene wherein The Once-ler (voiced by Ed Helms) wakes to find The Lorax (Danny DeVito) in his bed and his house infested with bears and other forest creatures.

Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, is based on classic Seuss tale of Ted, a 12-year-old boy (Zac Efron) who searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of Audrey, the girl of his dreams (Taylor Swift). To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world. Bit of trivia: Ted and Audrey are named after Dr. Seuss (whose real name was Theodore Seuss Geisel) and his (second) wife, Audrey.

Other voices in the cast include Rob Riggle, Jenny Slate, Marina Sirtis and Betty White as Grammy Norma.  Universal will release Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax (the first film to feature Universal’s 100th Anniversary logo) on March 2 in the US and Canada and 27th July in the UK.  Enjoy the clip and as well as the colorful new images, including the cast at work!

Two New International Posters for Dr. Seuss The Lorax

Two New International Posters for Dr. Seuss

Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax is another one of those movies that feels as if we’ve been talking about it forever and I just want to see it already! (We just brought you the launch of the movie’s Facebook campaign for the 60 day countdown a couple of weeks ago but January feel s like it’s dragging. As usual). The movie is a  “3D-CGI …adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ classic tale of a forest creature who shares the enduring power of hope.”  Surely you remember it from your childhood, you know that window of time before  your misspent youth?

“The animated adventure follows the journey of a boy as he searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams.  To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world.

Danny DeVito will lend his vocal talents to the iconic title character of the Lorax, while Ed Helms will voice the enigmatic Once-ler.  Also bringing their talents to the film are global superstars Zac Efron as Ted, the idealistic young boy who searches for the Lorax, and Taylor Swift as Ashley, the girl of Ted’s dreams.  Rob Riggle will play financial king O’Hare, and beloved actress Betty White will portray Ted’s wise Grammy Norma.

Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax is the third feature created by Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment (Despicable Me, Hop).”

I love the candy colored posters we’ve been getting for this and the animation seems appropriately Seussian (a style that seems to be a specialty of Illumination Entertainment). Of the two new international posters I like the Dutch version better since it includes The Once-ler. The Spanish version does give a nice glimpse of Thneedville. Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax opens March 2 in the US, but not until 27th July in the UK.

Taylor Swift Is A Vogue Cover Girl!

Taylor Swift Is A Vogue Cover Girl!

Taylor Swift has landed herself the cover of February 2012's Vogue Magazine looking like a model and rocking her new hairstyle. Within the magazine is a pictorial spread that transforms her from innocent girl to a glamorous model.

She may be glamorous on the outside, but Taylor is just like any typical young girl on the inside feeling both awkward and outcast:

“So . . . middle school? Awkward,” she says, launching into the first of many comic riffs. “Having a hobby that’s different from everyone else’s? Awkward. Singing the national anthem on weekends instead of going to sleepovers? More awkward. Braces? Awkward. Gain a lot of weight before you hit the growth spurt? Awkward. Frizzy hair, don’t embrace the curls yet? Awkward. Try to straighten it? Awkward!” She starts to laugh. “So many phases!”

“I think who you are in school really sticks with you,” she says. “I don’t ever feel like the cool kid at the party, ever. It’s like, Smile and be nice to everybody, because you were not invited to be here.”

But perhaps being awkward when you're young, isn't such a bad thing. Taylor is beyond wise for her years:

“All of my favorite people—people I really trust—none of them were cool in their younger years,” she says. “Because if you know how to be cool in middle school, maybe you have skills you shouldn’t. Maybe you know how to be conniving, like, naturally.” She laughs. “There’s always that seventh-grade girl who looks like she’s 25. And you’re like, How do you do it? How do you do it, Sarah Jaxheimer?” She lets out a comically ear-piercing shriek: “Why is your hair always so shiny?!

You know, that makes a lot of sense. I hadn't looked at life from that perspective but she's absolutely right! Besides the fact that she's a sweetheart, it's refreshing that someone at 22 years of age remains true to herself in the business she is in!

Taylor Swift Billboard’s ‘Woman of the Year’ PHOTOS

Taylor Swift Billboard's 'Woman of the Year' PHOTOS

She's barely 22 (her birthday is December 13) and Taylor Swift has made Billboard history by being the youngest ever 'Woman of the Year'.  The honors took place at the Billboard's Women in Music event at Capitale in New York yesterday afternoon.

Taylor is having a year that dreams are made of. In addition to this honor, Billboard also honored her with top country album, top Billboard 200 artist and top country artist. In addition to that she just won Entertainer of the Year by the Academy of Country Music Association. Did I mention she's only 21?

Her new album Speak is going through the roof in sales with its first week seeing 1 million units sold and a total of 3.7 million sold to date. That's just one album. In total this sweet girl has sold 40 million in digital track sales and 20 million in album sales in her entire career.  Billboard has written a lovely article about all of her accomplishments. It's well worth the read.

Nicki Minaj was also honored at the event with the Rising Star award. Nicki first appeared on the Billboard chart two short years ago with I Get Crazy, so we can only imagine what  she will accomplish throughout her career.  In 2011 Nicki's Super Bass was one of 8 Top 40 Hot 100 hits the singer saw.

Enjoy the pictures from the Billboard event!
