David Duchovny and Tea Leoni Opening night after party for the Off-Broadway production of 'The Break of Noon'

David Duchovny and Tea Leoni  are supposed to be split up, but they were spotted together in the car, driving around Malibu on Sunday.  Things looked back to normal.  So is this yet another reconciliation?  Or was this just some parental chit chat?

These two are famous for their breakups and makeups.  What is it this time?  Has David finally conquered his sex addiction?

I personally hope that they are really working it out this time.  Any time that there are kids involved, I cross my fingers.  Madelaine, 12, and Kyd, 9 would sure love to have their parents together again.

Day 10 of the U.S. Open (yesterday) saw the Canadian Great One Wayne Gretzky and his gorgeous wife Janet Jones Gretzky (who clearly dresses Wayne), take in the match between Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark v Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia at the Billie Jean King Tennis Center in New York.

Also taking in that match were David Duchovny and his wife Tea Leoni, Oprah’s BFF Gayle King, music mogul Clive Davis, Rick Fox and Donald and Melania Trump.

Day 11 of the U.S. Open featured the men’s quarter finals at the USTA Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, Queens where Christie Brinkley flashed her model smile while John McEnroe looked as happy as the guy is probably capable of. Also Ralph Macchio was on the sidelines looking more like security detail than tennis enthusiast.

Mariah Carey hangs off of hubby Nick Cannon at the UNICEF’s Snowflake Ball held at Cipriani’s in New York where they were celebrating the lighting of the UNICEF Snowflake and honoring those individuals who have made key contributions to UNICEF’s mission.

David Duchovny, Tea Leoni, Erica Reid, Lauren Bush, Deborah Roberts, Al Roker, and Jenna Bush also attended.

Chairman of Island Def Jam Music Group, Antonio ‘L.A.’ Reid was given the Spirit of Compassion Award.

After David Duchovny finished his stint in rehab, it was announced he and wife, Tea Leoni had split up for a while.

News was circulating last week that Billy Bob Thornton was the reason for the split referring to Tea as “maybe my new favourite person in the world”.  But he denied that he and Tea were anything more than friends.

David Duchovny’s tennis coach, 28 year-old Edit Pakay is telling a different story about her relationship with David:

“We have a very, very close friendship. I don’t want to be the third person in the marriage but I know it can be seen that way.

“David and I are very close friends and we still play tennis together. He’s an excellent player. He likes physically strong, fit women… He is a wonderful man. He’s a very intelligent, very kind and good man.

“I don’t want to say anything that might hurt David. I am not going to deny it (the affair claims). I don’t know what our relationship means to him.”
She adds, “I wasn’t instantly attracted to him. What is great about David is his intelligence and kindness. He is the sort of person you get to like more the more you know him.”

It’s incredible that she doesn’t want to say anything to hurt David, yet says what she says.  What do you think?

The couple have confirmed that they have, in fact, been separated for months:

“In light of continuous speculation over the lives and marriage of Tea Leoni and David Duchovny, the couple has confirmed that they have in fact been separated for several months,” the statement says. “The couple had hoped to keep this separation private for the sake of their children.”

David just recently finished up his stint in rehab for sexual addiction.

The couple had been married since 1997.
