The Bachelor and Bachelorette series is known for relationships that never last, but there was always host Chris Harrison who seemed solid as a rock. Now his own marriage to wife of 18 years Gwen Jones has ended. The couple issued a joint statement [via People]:

 "after much heartfelt consideration ," "Though we have made this incredibly difficult decision to separate, our love and mutual respect remain, and we look forward to sharing in the lives of our wonderful children," 

They have two kids together Joshua, 9, and Taylor, 7. Chris appears to be a standup kind of guy so let's hope that despite this being a sad thing it doesn't turn into a mud slinging contest.

This is one of those splits that comes as a shock because you hear nothing and then bam.

And tough I might add!  Ali Fedotowsky currently has five staples in her gorgeous head!  This weekend she and her fiance Roberto Martinez went kayaking in La Jolla when they capsized and she ended up in the hospital!

Her rep told Us Weekly,

“Ali and Roberto had a little mishap when their kayak capsized this weekend. Ali was taken to the hospital and had 5 staples put in her head. Roberto was fantastic– he kept her calm and took great care of her. She is doing fine, and actually off to work this morning.” (At Fox 5 San Diego.)

Oh my word.  I would be destroyed if I had staples in my head!  I’d certainly be using that doctor’s note to get out of work!  And would I be planning to go kayaking again?  Um, nooooo.  But that is so not the spunky Ali.  She Tweeted to her fans,

“Thanks so much everyone for your concern. Big headache, but managed to hide staples w/hair part and I am back at work this morning.”

“I think I freaked out more when when the doctor cut my hair rather than when he put staples into my head. Lol. Very thankful to be ok ”

“[But I] made it out of the ER w/staples in my head & a little less hair after falling out of a kayak,” she added. “Scary stuff. Wearing a helmet next time.”

You go girl.  Brave girl.  Little rock star.  Huge kudos.

Tara Durr (season 9) and John Presser (season 5) met each other on Facebook.  There is a page for all the “losers” who couldn’t find love on The Bachelor or Bachelorette.  I think that it’s a very clever idea.  It’s one way to group a bunch of people with the same mindset and give them a real shot a true love.

That’s exactly how it worked for Tara and John.  They just tied the knot at the Slammer & Squire golf course in St. Augustine, Florida on November 6 in front of 400 of their closet friends and relatives.

“Everyone danced the whole night.  We all had such a great time.”

When movies like The Notebook and other movies rented via Movies-On-Demand, a donation will be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure® foundation. This campaign is made possible by several cable and satellite providers: Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox, Cablevision, Charter, AT&T, Verizon FiOS , DIRECTV and DISH.

Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky and fiance Roberto Martinez can be seen here at Sunday night’s after-Emmy party at ET where she admitted she is starting a jewellery line:

“I’m going to have a line within (designer Alex Woo’s) collection and it’s going to be out hopefully in May. We really want to take our time to make it right.”

Now that would be a neat job, right? I would love to do a jewellery line.  I’m not sure there is a demand for peen necklaces, rings, watches and bracelets though. I may have to think about this a bit more.

I would totally have a giveaway on my site should I be fortunate enough to get a free piece of jewellery Ali. Hello? Anyone listening?

I love these two together don’t you? They really seem to be the real deal and I wish them a lifetime of happiness.

Radar Online is reporting that the tabloid The Star has a story about The Bachelorette‘s Ali Fedotowsky‘s earlier partying days where she smoked pot, went on alcohol binges and even did ecstasy.

The tabloid claims Ali kept a diary that they have a copy of and one entry goes on to say:

“It was really fun at first,” Ali writes of her night of pill-popping. “I went downstairs to sleep at 4:30 and sat there until 6:30. I was completely freaking out. I really thought I was supposed to die. I really thought I would… I was so scared.”

Apparently the diary also includes letters to an ex-boyfriend that are sexually explicit and even cut out magazine letter to make a love note. According to a source:

What do you think of these claims? The Star is not  the most reputable magazine, but still, I find these claims hard to believe. Perhaps it’s true, but I just can’t see it.

You know it’s LOVE when the man is willing to go shopping with you.  The Bachelorette‘s Ali Fedotowsky and fiance Roberto Martinez continue the love fest tour to Robertson Blvd where they shopped the Armani Exchange and stopped for lunch at the Newsroom Cafe.

The Bachelorette‘s Ali Fedotowsky chose Roberto Martinez in last night’s finale and together they appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel show where they look to be seriously, crazy in love.

It was a bit shocking that she let Chris go before the final rose ceremony.  Shocking in the sense I didn’t see that coming but I think that was the right thing to do considering she knew how she felt.  Why drag it out to something that will never materialize anyways.  But I felt really bad for Chris. He’s the total package.  Roberto is too, but there is something very sweet (to me anyways) about Chris.  And when he saw that rainbow after Ali told him she was in love with Roberto? Did you cry? His mom always told him to watch for a rainbow.  That was unbelievable.

Ali and Roberto seem very genuinely in love and happy.  This show doesn’t have the best track record so hopefully they will change that. Do you think it will last?
