Gwyneth Paltrow showed some skin in a while Emilio Pucci at last night’s premiere of Country Song in Los Angeles that also stars Garrett Hedlund, Leighton Meester and Tim McGraw:

A drama centered on a rising country-music songwriter (Hedlund) who sparks with a fallen star (Paltrow). Together, they mount his ascent and her comeback, which leads to romantic complications involving her husband/manager (McGraw) and a beauty queen-turned-singer (Meester).

She both acts and sings in the film and talked to Access Hollywood about the Golden Globe snub for the movie:

“You know, it’s just one of those [things]… you know, what are you going to do?” she told Access. “It’s like you can’t control the way things go.”

“I think that they put the movie in the drama category instead of the musical category, so I guess it was just… you know. It was a good year for lots of people,”

And thanks to the  filming of this movie in Nashville, she could eat a deep-fried battered cockroach and not bat an eye:

“Fried food is my weakness. I don’t have a sweet tooth. You could fry a cockroach in batter and basically I’d eat it.”

“Never have I met such warm people, heard such good music, eaten so much fried chicken. I could go on and on. At a place called Whiskey Kitchen the sweet potato fries are delicious, the fried chicken sliders do the trick, and the biscuits are the best I sampled in the city of Nashville. What more could you ask for?”

The movie is in theatres January 7, 2011.

Dancing With The Stars’ Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy make an appearance (as a couple?) at the Country Music Awards in Nashville last night where Carrie Underwood snagged Video of the Year for ‘Cowboy Casanova‘ and Performance of the Year for ‘Temporary Home‘.

Keith Urban won Male Video of the Year for ‘Til Summer Comes Around‘ and thanked his wife and acknowledged the devasation by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico:

“Baby girl, I love you so much,” “I want to send my deepest love and prayers out to all the families around the gulf, who are going through an insane time right now,” he said. “We’ve never seen anything like this – emotions I can’t even find words for as I watch this thing happening on TV.”

Tim McGraw performed at the Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach yesterday where the write up with the photos say he brought his kids up on stage.  Given he and wife Faith Hill have only 3 girls, I’m not sure who the boy is.

Regardless his body is perfection.  Not too skinny.  Not too muscular.  Perfection. Drool-worthy perfection.

That is quite a dress that Julianne Hough is wearing as she arrives at last night’s Country Music Awards.  I really miss her on Dancing With The Stars.  It’s been 2 seasons already.  I wonder if she is ever coming back?

Lots of celebrities at the CMAs last night including Matthew McConaughey with his baby momma, Camilla Alves. Matthew presented the Top Male Vocalist of the Year award last night and when doing so told this story which caused the audience to gasp:

“After the show last year, my lady and I, Camila, we even went back to the hotel and conceived the little lady who is now our daughter Vida Alves McConaughey.”

“That’s a true story,” “Now I’m back, I’m having a great time again, but I promise you me and Camila are going to try not to get so lucky this year,” he went on. “Two’s enough! We are flush for a while.”

Camilla was a bit embarrassed at Matthew giving such intimate detail of their life but that doesn’t seem strange because it’s Matthew McConaughey and he’s such a free spirit.  I can’t wait to see Matt Damon imitate him with that one.

The stars came out big for An Unforgettable Evening hosted by EIF’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund to raise money and awareness for early detection and research.

Christina Applegate who herself is a breast cancer survivor was honoured with the Nat King Cole award and told ET:

“That’s the reason that this happened to me, so that I can be outspoken and forthright about everything…I feel like I have a responsibility to all the women out there, to not let them live in fear…Fear perpetuates disease”

Country couple Faith Hill and Tim McGraw also attended and Tim, who lost both parents to cancer, talked about what the evening meant to him:

“I grew up with my mom and two sisters and now I have a house full of women, my wife and my three daughters, so anything that advances the research for cancer and advances the chances of finding cures, I’m all for”

Tim McGraw and his beautiful wife Faith Hill are at the New York premiere of The Blind Side which opens in theatres November 20 the same day as Twilight.  So on date night the men can go see The Blind Side and the girls can go see Twilight and everyone’s happy!

This movie, also starring Sandra Bullock, is based on a true story, and judging from the trailers, Tim McGraw’s acting ability is outstanding.  According to imdb:

A poor, oversized and under-educated teenager is recruited by a major college football program where he is groomed into an athletically and academically successful NFL prospect. Based on Michael Lewis’ book, “The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game.“

Yeah.  Tim McGraw is hot.  He’s especially hot in form fitting jeans.  I don’t like Country music, but for him I’ll make an excpetion.  He he he…like he cares?  Here he is performing at the Rockefeller Centre for the Today’s Show Concert Series in New York.

Tim McGraw, and nice fitting jeans.  What more is there to say?  He could drive a tricycle on stage like a monkey doing circus tricks and it would still be sexy.  Happy Friday.
