It’s hard to believe that Desperate Housewives will be going off the air forever after this season which marks Season 8 of the long-running ABC series.

In true fashion, the promo shots for the final season are nothing shy of glamorous! Eva Longoria 36, Marcia Cross 49, Felicity Huffman 48, Teri Hatcher 46 and Vanessa Williams 48 are perhaps ‘made up’ to the hills and maybe even a little photoshopped but the ladies look divine and why not go out with a bang?

And don’t forget that Nicolette Sheridan (who played Edie Britt and is suing producer Marc Cherry in real life) will be returning to the final season. It’s not known if she will be filming new segments or if they will be reusing old ones.

The new season premieres Sunday September 25 9/8 c.

Based on the screenplay The Apartment, Sean Hayes and Kristin Chenoweth opened on Broadway last night in Promises, Promises a musical comedy based on the novel by Neil Simon with music by Burt Bacharach and Hal David.

The website describes the comedy as:

It’s Manhattan. It’s the ’60s. And the city is back in full swing, in Broadway’s first-ever revival of PROMISES PROMISES—starring Emmy® Award-winner Sean Hayes (Will and Grace) as Chuck Baxter, the enterprising associate on the way up, and Tony® and Emmy® Award-winner Kristin Chenoweth (Wicked) as Fran Kubelik, the cafeteria waitress whose romantic troubles have got her down.

Miley Cyrus is joined by her family, Taylor Swift, Vanessa Williams, Dancing With The Stars’ Shawn Johnson, Demi Lovato, Terry Hatcher and others for the world premiere of Disney’s ‘Hannah Montana The Movie’ in Los Angeles yesterday.

This Saturday, Miley and her former boyfriend, Nick Jonas will team up to record a Disney song for charity called ‘Pass It On’.  She says of the media perception of her relationship with Nick:

“We don’t hate each other. We really love each other,” she said. “He’s really cool and I’m happy we’ve been able to stay friends.” 

“Everyone thinks that me and the Jonas Brothers have this big feud going on — [but] me and Nick are really close friends now,” she continued. “We talk all the time and he’s one of my best friends.”

This week, speculation on why Lindsay Lohan’s role on Ugly Betty was cut from 6 to 4 ran rampant.  Rumours of America Ferrera being threatened by Lohan’s popularity, to Lohan’s alleged diva behavior had tabloids scrambling with ‘sources’ coming forward with their account of things.

Vanessa Williams has come forward saying:

“That’s what the press does, that’s what gossip’s about, and media is about. 

“I had a few scenes with Lindsay. She was a hard worker, she showed up on time and in the scenes I had with her, she was completely prepared. In terms of me working with Lindsay, she was professional, she knew her lines and she was great with me.”

Although they say where there’s smoke there’s fire, I always try to maintain that even the ‘sources’ that come forward may have an axe to grind.  I’m just saying….

Emmys Red Carpet Arrivals – Tina Fey, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Vanessa Williams, Marcia Cross

America Ferrera and Lindsay Lohan were seen on the set of Ugly Betty.  In between takes, Lindsay was accompanied by Samantha Ronson.  Also filming was the beautiful Vanessa Williams.
