Abraham Lincoln was the Batman of the 19th Century: BTS with Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter!

“Abraham Lincoln, Vampires, Timur, Loud…that’s the kind of movie I want to see.” – Tim Burton.
“{Lincoln} was the Batman of the 19th century…because he was ordinary and extraordinary at the same time.” – Timur Bekmambetov.
We have a mini featurette for Timur Bekmambetov’s Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. This is basically the first trailer intercut with some remarks by the filmmakers and a few brief glimpses of some behind-the-scenes moments. Not that I’m complaining by any stretch. This movie is near the top of my “must see” list this year. The producers seem intent on getting us pumped and keeping us there since we’ve been getting quite a few little goodies, in the form of posters, pics and trailers, of late.
The movie centers on the secret life of our greatest president, and the untold history that shaped our nation. As a young boy, Abraham Lincoln (Benjamin Walker) witnesses the shocking death of his mother, leading him on a path to an ongoing war – and ultimately to the presidency – he chronicles in a hidden diary. The journal reveals the incredible story of a clandestine warrior who never stopped fighting for the country he led and the people he loved.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter costars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Anthony Mackie, Dominic Cooper, Alan Tudyk and Rufus Sewell. It hits theaters June 22 in the US and Canada and 2nd August in the UK. Enjoy the video. That's a new pic, from Fox at the top of the post as well, featuring Rufus Sewell and Erin Wasson. More will surely follow soon!
