LaToya Jackson Confirms Whitney & Jermaine’s Affair (VIDEO)

LaToya Jackson Confirms Whitney & Jermaine's Affair (VIDEO)

Since the death of Whitney Houston there has been much talk about the iconic singer's life including allegations that she and Michael Jackson's brother Jermaine had an affair back in 1984 after the two recorded a song together.

Jermaine's autobiography stated that he struggled with feelings for Whitney but for the sake of his marriage to Hazel Gordy did not pursue anything further. While I do not mean any disrespect to his wife, and he did do the honorable thing, it really makes you wonder what would have become of Whitney had she and Jermaine made a life together. Would her life's trajectory been completely changed? That's not to blame Bobby Brown for her issues with addiction, but would a life with Jermaine have resulted in a healthier lifestyle?

LaToya appeared on The Talk where she was asked about the affair and she came right out and said there was one:

"Well, in '84, Jermaine and Whitney did work together," claimed La Toya. "That was the beginning of her career, basically. Sometimes when you work closely with someone… " She continued on, "I think that Jermaine wrote that in his book to protect Whitney at that particular time and he has admitted that they had an affair."

Jermaine must be going through a great deal emotionally following Whitney's death.

Whitney Houston and Ray J Were Planning A Reality Series

Whitney Houston and Ray J Planning A Reality Series

In the days leading up to her untimely death, Whitney Houston and her 'friend' Ray J were filming a reality show that they were going to pitch for a series it has been reported. He of course is the guy behind the Kim Kardashian sex tape and I guess after seeing the success she got from it he wants a piece of the pie as well. So to speak.

Entertainment Fix is reporting that her friends didn't care too much for him and further felt she was being used because he is basically a fame whore that needs to ride the coattails of all the women in his life (think Kim, and sister Brandy).

He must have really sweet-talked Whitney into agreeing to even try this given the disaster that was 'Being Bobby Brown' in which her erratic behavior was allegedly showcased (I have never watched the show personally).

Ray J's publicist has confirmed the couple were shooting footage for pitching.

Why do I have this feeling we are going to see some type of tribute to Whitney from him along with probably a book?

Mariah Carey’s Video Tribute to Whitney Houston

Mariah Carey's Video Tribute to Whitney Houston

Mariah Carey worked several times with Whitney Houston over her career and the two were friends despite the rumors of a rivalry. She attended Whitney's funeral service and told Good Morning America this past week:

I'm almost incapable of talking about this still. It's very heavy emotionally…

"[The service] was gorgeous. Such a class act. The way she went out and the way family dealt with it, I was very moved."

If you notice in the video Mariah has such a huge smile on her face every time she's with Whitney. The friendship and love was and is totally sincere.

National Enquirer Publishes Whitney Houston Open Casket Photo

National Enquirer Publishes Whitney Houston Open Casket Photo

Whitney Houston's private funeral service that was intended for just her family has been sullied by The National Enquirer as someone allegedly sold out and took a photo of her in the casket. She looks absolutely beautiful and peaceful and apparently was buried in $500,000 worth of diamonds. While she is clearly wearing jewelry in the photo, I find it hard to believe they actually buried her in them.

Rumor has it that Bobbi Brown's sister sold out and is going to be giving interviews with the publication, but word is also that she wasn't even invited or present during the services. So it remains a mystery as to who actually took the photo. And you know NE is not going to be admitting that any time soon.

Whitney died unexpectedly on February 10 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel where she was staying in preparation for Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy party. Last Saturday her funeral, or going home ceremony took place in her native New Jersey and was televised for her fans around the world. While it was initially thought that she may have drowned, as she was found in the bathtub, it is believed that it was a combination of alcohol and the prescription drugs she was taking. A toxicology test is pending.

What are your thoughts on the National Enquirer doing this? You can check out this website to see the cover.

Whitney Houston’s Dress, Earrings From The Bodyguard Up For Auction

Whitney Houston's Dress, Earrings From The Bodyguard Up For Auction

Whitney Houston's funeral was just Saturday and her burial yesterday, but some items from her movie The Bodyguard has already been sent to an auction house. A black velvet dress and earrings that she wore in the movie will be available next month to the highest bidder the New York Post is reporting.

Darren Julien is a celebrity auctioneer that says it's not unusual that items come up for auction after a star dies and that Whitney's items became available after she passed on February 11. He says such items are an investment:

"It proves a point that these items, they're an investment," Julien said. "You buy items just like a stock. Buy at the right time and sell at the right time, and they just increase in value."

The timing, however, seems really soon to a lot of people:

"It's a celebration of her life," Julien said. "If you hide these things in fear that you're going to offend someone — her life is to be celebrated. These items are historic now that she passed. They become a part of history. They should be in museums. She's lived a life and had a career that nobody else has ever had."

Houston is "someone who's going to maintain a collectability," he said. "For people who are fans of Whitney Houston and never would have had a chance to meet her and never got to talk to her, these are items that literally touched a part of her life. They are a way to relate to her or be a part of her life without having known her."

The dress is currently valued at $1,000 but is expected to fetch far more than that. The vest that she wore in The Bodyguard is also up for auction and valued at $400. Fake pearl earrings are currently at $600 but like the dress both items are expected to fetch more.

The items are available to bid online on March 31 and April 1 at Julien's Auction as part of a 'Hollywood Legends' auction. What do you think, too soon to be auctioning off Whitney's items?

Bobby Brown Leaves Whitney Houston Funeral Early, Issues Statement

Bobby Brown Leaves Whitney Houston Funeral Early, Issues Statement

When we first got word that Bobby Brown left Whitney Houston's funeral early amidst an altercation, we all probably had the same reaction: what a douche. It seemed like a typical move on his part and before the story came out we all jumped to that same conclusion. But sometimes we always don't have the complete story and he has issued a statement telling his side of things:

My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston. We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions.

“I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move. Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi-Kristina.

“In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene. My children are completely distraught over the events.

“This was a day to honor Whitney. I doubt Whitney would have wanted this to occur. I will continue to pay my respects to my ex-wife the best way I know how.”

You know I don't particularly care for Bobby Brown but I know that Whitney considered his other kids her own kids, and who's surprised? She was very loving that way. I have to say I'm on Bobby's side if this is what happened. That was disrespectful to him and his family. If he is invited to the service, and he is the father of Whitney's daughter, he needs to be treated with respect whether you actually respect him or not.  This thing where he's invited, but let's treat him like crap is so wrong (if that was intentional). Especially in a church. At the very least you would  think they would have communicated the number of people attending.

What do you think?

The Remarkable Service That Honored The Life of Whitney Houston Photos

The Remarkable Service That Honored The Life of Whitney Houston Photos

Today the world celebrated the remarkable life of Whitney Houston at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey in a 'going home' ceremony that took the world to church. She was paid tribute by the church community, Gospel singing Winans family, Clive Davis, Stevie Wonder, Tyler Perry, Kevin Costner, Alicia Keys family and friends. Who knew Kevin Costner knew her that well and that they had church in common? It was a 4 hour service that was one of the most incredible 'funeral' experiences I personally have ever experienced and based on what was being said on Twitter, that most people have ever experienced.

The combination of prayer, tributes and song complete with stories shared by those in her life was probably the most tasteful 'public' funeral. Piers Morgan on CNN mentioned how Cissy Houston (Whitney's mom) was left with a very difficult decision to honor her daughter and yet allow the public in but at a respectful distance. This was the perfect service to accomplish all of that.

The end of the service, when they took her casket out with Whitney's voice singing 'I Will Always Love You' was beyond the most emotional part of the ceremony. The world is still coming to grips with her loss. It will be felt for years to come.

Today is the day Whitney Houston is laid to rest, or as her family is naming it a 'home going' service (meaning she is going home to be with God). The service is by invitation only and will be held at The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey today at 12 noon EST. The family decided against a public memorial and instead are live streaming the celebration of her life and we have the coverage here should you wish to see it. TMZ obtained a copy of it the invitation and it reads:

With heartfelt gratitude, the Houston Family requests the honor of your presence at the home going service for Whitney Elizabeth Houston."

Whitney's family included daughter Bobbi Kristina, mother Cissy Houston, cousin Dionne Warwick and mentor and dear friend Clive Davis arrived in New Jersey yesterday. Kevin Costner (her costar in The Bodyguard) will be making a speech and it is expected that Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin will also be part of the service.

I don't know about you, but I still can't wrap my head around the fact that she is gone
