New Year, new movie: up next, The Words, which stars Bradley Cooper (who is another actor poised to have a great 2012 with four films currently in some stage of post-production and slated for release), Zoe Saldana, Jeremy Irons, Dennis Quaid and Olivia Wilde. The above is the first poster and below we have some first pics.

The Words, which is scheduled to be the closing film of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival later this month, revolves around Rory (Cooper), a struggling writer who claims another man’s long lost work as his own. Caught up in a dangerous conspiracy, the price he must pay is more than he could have ever imagined.

The trouble starts when Dora, Rory’s wife (Saldana) comes across “a valise” in an antiques shop. The valise contains a “lost masterwork” of a  “Hemingway-esque writer” played by Jeremy Irons.

The Words is both written and directed by Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal. In addition to being and actor, Klugman, as well as Sternthal have writing credits on Tron: Legacy. The supporting cast includes Ben Barnes, John Hannah, J.K. Simmons, Michael McKean, Zeljko Ivanek, Ron Rifkin, Liz Stauber, Gianpaolo Venuta, and Nora Arnezeder.

After its Sundance debut, the only release dates we have are for Belgium and the Netherlands in December. I’m thinking that will change soon.  I hope so. I’m very interested. We’ll keep you posted. 

The 75th Los Angeles' Mission of serving Thanksgiving dinner to the homeless took place yesterday where three of Hollywood's most recent single ladies Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Love-Hewitt and Zoe Saldana came together to give back.

Jennifer recently split from her boyfriend whose name I didn't bother to learn because why bother. And of course Kim's split from Kris Humphries has been well-documented for the last month. Zoe Saldana's split from her long-term boyfriend (and fiance) Keith Britton of 11 years was probably the most surprising of all.

But on to the important thing: giving back. Also joining them were Zoe's sister Cicely, the legendary Kirk Douglas and his wife Anne and the uber-sexy Blair Underwood among others.

Columbia Pictures has released the trailer for Colombiana,  starring Zoe Saldana and Michael Vartan. I am a huge fan of Zoe and well, Michael stole my heart while starring on Alias… so, yeah, I am stoked for this one.

Saldana (Avatar, Star Trek) plays a young woman who, after witnessing her parents’ murder as a child in Bogota, grows up to be a stone-cold assassin. She works for her uncle as a hitman by day, but her personal time is spent engaging in vigilante murders that she hopes will lead her to her ultimate target: the mobster responsible for her parents’ death.

Rapper Drake (real name Aubrey Graham) attended Bing’s Celebration of Creative Minds after party at BOA restaurant in Los Angeles last night.  Drake of course is coming off of his win and performance at the Much Music Video Awards that took place Sunday.

Word is he also took a liking to Jersey Shore’s Snooki which to say surprises me would be the understatement of the year. Drake is talented, young, hot and like 6’2″ or something and Snooki is 4’9″ I believe, and well you know as much as you need to know about her. I’m sure she’s nice and all and It’s not so much the height difference but more the ‘professional talent’ differences.

Apparently he was flirting with her backstage and even invited her to his after party. The door security turned her away from said party and Drake was not too pleased about that.  This ‘connection’ ranks right up there with the Eli Roth and Peaches Geldof relationship.  Seriously, WTF? I don’t get it.

Despite going through a tough time in her personal life, it seems Cheryl Cole’s world just keeps getting better and better. Whether she is romancing Dancing With The Stars’ Derek Hough or the Black Eyed Peas‘ Will.i.am I say Cheryl has come out on top.  Glamour thinks so too.  She picked up Woman of The Year at last night’s Glamour Women of The Year Awards in London.

Her dress looks a bit like lingerie but it’s beautiful nonetheless.  And her shoes!! Love her shoes.  She was presented the award by Sex and The City hunky boy Jason Lewis.

Nicole Richie picked up Entrepreneur of the Year Award and Zoe Saldana picked up Film Actress of the Year award.
