Pierce Brosnan and his wife Keely Shaye Smith attend last night’s Global Green USA’s 14th Annual Millennium Awards held at the  Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica.  The awards:

recognize and herald those whose lives and livelihood embody Global Green USA’s mission of fostering a global value shift toward a sustainable and secure world.

Pierce has long been into environmental causes and recently ripped President Obama a new one with regards to the Whale slaughtering that still exists in Japan, Iceland and Norway despite his campaign promise to end it.

He’s so ‘all that’ with being a down-to-earth man, great father, great husband, activist and very handsome!

A dark-haired Denise Richards (me likey) holds on to a cute adorable puppy.  She was joined by Lisa Rinna and Amy Smart as  they all lent their celebrity to the Best Friends Los Angeles Spring Super Adoption Festival at Westchester Park in Los Angeles where a lot of very cute dogs were on display.

Is it me or does there seem to be a lot more of these adoption type drives happening all around? Would you find it difficult to walk away from one of these events without a pup?

Minka Kelly gets top honours in the gown department at  the Art of Elysium’s 3rd Annual Gala.  This wonderful organization:

encourages working actors, artists and musicians to voluntarily dedicate their time and talent to children who are battling serious medical conditions

Actually Minka Kelly and Rumer Willis were the best dressed ladies of the night in my humble opinion.  Someone whose outfit I didn’t get was Ashley Olsen.

She looked a little bit Stepford Wife like in her Victorian gown and way too dark lipstick. Almost like she walked out of a horror film.  I don’t mean to be mean, but I’m always baffled that someone as wealthy as her with any help available to her at her beck and call can walk out of the house looking like that.

Leslie Mann and Judd Apatow were honoured last night in Beverly Hills by the Fulfillment Fund whose goal is to empower youth through education:

Together, Leslie and Judd have demonstrated a commitment to philanthropy through their support of organizations for the homeless and 826 LA, a writing and tutoring center for disadvantaged youth

Leslie and Judd are such a cute couple, and despite the fact that he’s a very successful writer, producer and director and he and Leslie have been together for 12 years, he is still kind of amazed he landed such a hot girl.  That’s very adorable!  He credits Gary Shandling with teaching him how to write.

The environmentally conscious celebrities came out last night for the Environmental Media Awards held at Paramount Studios in Hollywood. 

Sir Richard Branson and Jason Mraz were honoured as were Centropolis Entertainment and National Geographic Society.   My spidey senses tell me that burning all the styrofoam yesterday was wrong.  Kidding!! Please don’t send emails.
