Britney Spears is selling her Studio City home for $7.9 Million.  The home is described as:

Italian Renaissance-inspired villa has about 7,500 square feet and features a wet bar, a library, a den, high ceilings and stone and mosaic tile floors with six bedrooms and six bathrooms.

The master bedroom has a fireplace and a loggia.  The pad also comes complete with a pool, spa, arbor and three garages.  The home is available partially furnished.

Word is the reason for selling the home is to have more privacy from the media (like that is ever going to happen).  The singer is looking to purchase a home an hour north of Los Angeles in Calabasas, California.

Lynne Spears has confirmed that Britney plans a world tour!!!!! The last time Britney toured was 2004, but the latest is she will hit the tour circuit in 2009 after the release of her much-anticipated album Circus in December (although there are rumors it is being delayed).

Says Lynne:

“She’s releasing music, she has plans to do tours and some other little secrets that I can’t tell you. It’s going to be fabulous though.”

The stars of CBS’ comedies came out to celebrate the kick off of the new season which begins on Monday.

I LOVE this time of year with the new shows premiering.  Don’t get me wrong summer is great but TV watching is dull.

I love the comedies that CBS has:  Big Bang Theory (excellent show), How I Met Your Mother (excellent show and they must have Britney Spears back on A LOT), Two and a Half Men (funny show) and the New Adventures of Old Christine (fabulous show).

Britney Spears is said to return to U.K. television for the first time in 4 years when she performs on The X Factor.  Simon Cowell begged her to return to the show.  According to a source:

“Everyone is thrilled. To have Britney involved is a massive coup. They expect ratings to go through the roof when her performance airs.”

Like How I Met Your Mother (last year) and like MTV VMA’s FOR SURE she is going to cause a spike in the ratings.  It’s Britney Spears y’all !!!!!

This surprises me.  After 10 years MTV’s Total Request Live is hitting the brakes with its last show in November.  The show ran for about 10 years and helped propell the career of many celebs including Britney Spears, N’Sync and Eminem.

Former Host, Carson Daly will return for the two-hour finale.  Eminem is sad to see the show go:

“I’m going to miss TRL. Where else will I be able to start feuds, defend my honour vigorously and act like an angry teenager on national TV? Oh wait … The VMAs!”

Um, okay.  Whatever.  They don’t say the reason behind the decision (um, maybe ratings??).

Britney Spears has confirmed that her latest album is complete and is set to be released in December.  The follow up to 2007′s Blackout was rushed to completion as executives at Jive Records wanted to take advantage of the rise in Britney’s popularity.

The album’s scheduled release date is December 1 with Britney celebrating her 27th birthday on December 2.  The first single off the album is entitled Womanizer.

It is rumoured that to promote the album she is currently working on, Britney plans a massive Las Vegas comeback and possibly a world tour. 

She is working on her sixth album and is reportedly set to perform a New Year’s Eve (December 31, 2008) concert at the Pearl Theatre in the Las Vegas’ famous Palms Resort.

A source told Britain’s Sunday Mirror:

“Britney has been recording her album at Palms and she is good friends with George (Maloof, owner of the Palms Resort) from way back. They are cooking up the idea of making a big, bold statement by making her comeback on New Year’s Eve. It’s going to be the hottest ticket on the planet.”

Whether you like her music or not, it’s nice that she is back to her old self.

Britney Spears and her family have donated this picture to the Los Angeles-based Promises Foundation, which helps provide behavioural health services to women on low incomes and their children. 

The painting, by artist, Daniel Maltzman, is being auctioned off here on eBay with a starting bid of $10,000.  The Spears’ family came up with the idea to auction off the picture, and the painting comes with a letter of authenticity from Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears.
