Dancing With The Stars' judge and animal activist Carrie Ann Inaba will be hosting the Humane Society of the United States' 26th Annual Genesis Awards in Los Angeles on March 24, 2012 where celebrities in the entertainment world are honored for their contribution in bringing animal issue awareness to the world. Carrie Ann is thrilled to do the gig:

“I’m honored to have been asked to host an awards show that is both a celebration and a consciousness raiser,” said Carrie Ann. “In a busy awards season, The Genesis Awards stands out as an event that has true meaning in the larger scope of things– it’s the Oscars for animals and the people in the media who give voice to their plight.”

Beverly Kaskey is the Senior Director of The Humane Society of the United States’ Hollywood outreach program and executive producer of the annual Genesis Awards and says of choosing Carrie Ann:

 “Carrie Ann is the ideal host for The Genesis Awards.  She has energy, personality, beauty, and, most of all, she really cares about the animal protection cause.  I think she’ll score a perfect 10 with our audience,” 

So far celebrities like Kaley Cuoco, Pauley Perrette, Bill Maher, and Kristin Bauer van Straten are scheduled to present at this fine awards show.

Do you think there is crazy pent-up sexual tension between Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Carrie Ann Inaba? Ever notice how the mood gets hot and heavy toward the end of a season on Dancing With The Stars? So much at stake with the mirror ball and all the hard work the dancers and celebrities have done. This season (season 13) we haven't  really had to wait until the end because it seemed that there has been tension between the judges and  Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his partner Hope Solo.

Last night it turned a bit ugly when it came time for the judges' comments after Maks and Hope's tango. Carrie Ann was in the middle of critiquing their dance when she noticed Maks with a grin on his face. She stopped her critiquing to say "You can smile like that Maks, it's okay", thinking that smirk was at her. Maks tried to act like 'what' and backstage when asked about Carrie Ann, Maks replied: "F*ck Carrie Ann," "Next question.""I think Carrie Ann has an issue," (apparently he was laughing while saying this).

Hope jumped in and remarked: "Maks is smiling because we should be smiling," she said. " So Carrie Ann, thank you, Maks was smiling. This is my partner. Finally, we're happy!" 

You know everyone is entitled to their opinions, and Maks and Hope have every right to defend themselves but while other celebrities have taken the criticism objectively and tried to learn from it, it seems Hope and Maks have taken it as a personal vendetta against them to bring them down. I was really turned off by Hope's attitude last night.

Later on Maks further said:

"I don't know what it is," he said. "I would love to know what it is so that I could address it. But I have no clue what the (expletive) she was talking about."

As for the scoring: "I totally disagreed with the scores, but what else is new," he said.

Back on March 8 we posted how Dancing With The Stars’ Carrie Ann Inaba was engaged to be married this summer, but she hadn’t actually received the ring yet from fiance Jesse Sloan (who btw is pretty smoking hot).

Well that all changed today on Live With Regis & Kelly when he proposed to her on bended knee with a GORGEOUS ring. Carrie Ann talked about how sweet and great Jesse is and how he takes care of her. She seems really very happy.

What a beautiful proposal. How many women can boast that they had Regis Philbin standing there looking over your shoulder as your man proposed to you? Enjoy the video! Congratulations to the beautiful bride and groom!

The self-proclaimed Cougar and judge on Dancing With The Stars,’ Carrie Ann Inaba, is engaged and will be saying her I do’s this summer with her accountant fiance Jesse Sloan who at 39 is four years her junior.

Prior to Jesse, Carrie Ann dated Artem Chigvintsev, 26, a dance pro who she split with in 2009 after two-and-a-half years of dating.

Her guests need not splash out money on any time of formal or semi-formal wear for that matter:

“We are planning a summer wedding on the beach,”  ”We want everyone to jump in the water with us after our vows.”

She’s already in great shape with a kick-ass workout regime:

“I do a one-hour workout called Drenched, a cardio-boxing fitness routine, Monday through Friday,” “When I can, I take two classes back-to-back.”

But girl loves her food (I love a girl who loves her food):

” I’m not a strict dieter,” she says. Her favorite indulgence? “Nachos with cheese,” “During that first couple years of Dancing with the Stars, I would go to Jack in the Box in my ball gown after the shows and get the Taco Nachos as my rewards.”

EW.com held a podcast last night for TV Insiders where they talked about, among other things, Dancing With The Stars and of course Bristol-gate.  Maksim Chmerkovskiy calls in where he talks about his first impression of Kyle Massey and how he was so impressed with his cha-cha he immediately thought Kyle would be in the final 3 for sure.

He says he wasn’t angry on the inside when Brandywas voted out, but was ‘laughing’ on the inside. He doesn’t pull any punches and won’t be ‘politically correct’ saying that Bristol’s dancing is fine.  He calls it ‘bullsh*t’.  He talks about a ‘clan of Palinism’ voting Bristol in not because of her dancing skills. But that’s the problem you have when you have a show that allows the viewers vote to have a lot of weight. It’s not always a logical choice.

He thinks Bristol is trying and has shown nothing but support for her saying that she had every right to be on the show, but what pissed him off was her coming out in the media on Monday and saying he didn’t like her. That is the first time he was upset about the situation.

And he says ‘now that it’s all over screw Carrie Ann’. This season might be all over, but there is always next season But you know what he says isn’t unreasonable and he’s telling it like it is but Maks tends to rub people the wrong way and someone else saying the exact same thing will be received differently than him.
