Dancing With The Stars Season 14, Week 6 Recap 4/23/12

Dancing With The Stars Season 14, Week 6 Recap 4/23/12

Tonight is Week 6 for Season 14 of Dancing With The Stars and this marks the half-way point of the competition. Tonight is also Motown night and we'll have performances by the legendary Smokey Robinson, The Temptations and Martha Reeves as well as Australia's top Pop Group Human Nature. The show will kick off with 'Tears of a Clown' performed by Robinson.

Last week we sadly said goodbye to the sweet and classy Gavin DeGraw. Personally I think he was stretched way too thin with all of his commitments. This is the part in the competition that gets really brutal and critical. Keep refreshing because we will be updating this post in real time as the show is happening (EST) with commentary as well as scores.

Tonight there is also the Cha Cha Cha dance marathon that will see those scores combined with the scores of their first dances.

Gladys Knight & Tristan McManus – Rumba – They are dancing to The Temptation's 'My Girl' and how fitting that a Motown legend is dancing to singing legends. This is her song and she is looking like she's in her glory. It wasn't her strongest dance but she is totally a joy to watch!  Scores: 7/7/7 = 21/30 + 3  24/40.

Maria Menounos & Derek Hough – Fox Trot – These two are so much fun to watch and I am always happy when she laughs. Their costumes are stunning and they look like they are having a lot of fun performing although Maria looked like she lost her balance on the stairs. But aside from that the dance was fabulous! Scores: 8/9/9 = 26/30 + 4 (dance marathon) 30/40.

Roshon Fagan & Chelsie Hightower – Rumba – With Smokey Robinson performing  these two danced to Cruising and despite Roshon being very young and his reservations, he totally pulled off the sensual aspects. Their performance was very tight and soulful. And I LOVED Chelsie's dress.  7/8/8 = 23/30 + 5 = 28/40.

Katherine Jenkins & Mark Ballas –  Samba – They are dancing to 'Can't Get Next To You' by The Temptations (LOVE this song). if there is one thing that has been consistent throughout this entire performance it's Katherine being consistently amazing. Her posture is amazing and this was a very busy dance and she busted a move!! Scores: 10/9/10 = 29/30 + 10 = 39/40.

Donald Driver & Peta Murgatroyd –  Fox Trot – For him to grow up hearing The Temptations on the radio and now to be dancing live to them must be so surreal. These two are a perfect match. They really complement one another. Donald looked a little bit afraid because you just know he is concentrating so much on his posture so he can get in Len's good books. I loved his reaction to Len. Mission accomplished! 'He needs a ten from Len' Scores: 9/9/9 = 27/30 + 7 = 34/40.

Melissa Gilbert & Maksim Chmerkovskiy - Vienniese Waltz – Omg Maks is too funny with his comment that it could be worse, she could have an ugly partner. Was he joking? I don't know. He's a perfectionist but I think his method doesn't work with most people. He seems to have this problem year after year and that's not because he's not talented. Clearly he is. Wow the beginning with him spinning her around was really nice. I have to say I haven't been a huge fan of hers but tonight's dance was really very lovely for the most part although there were parts I thought her posture was a bit off but what do I know? The judges have loved her dances all along. Scores: 8/8/8 = 24/30 + 6 = 30/40.

Jaleel White & Kym Johnson – Cha Cha Cha – I love that The Temptations are here tonight. They've still got it. Kym and Jaleel seem to have made a lot of progress in rehearsals this week. I have to say I'm very impressed with his dancing tonight it's so crisp and enjoyable to watch. He seems to truly be enjoying himself tonight. Scores: 10/9/10 = 29/30 + 8 = 37/40.

William Levy & Cheryl Burke –  Rumba – Nothing like saving the best for last and by best I mean a hot piece of eye candy. I could stare at his body all day long (and some days I do). He's so sexy and you just know in real life he is every bit the Latin lover you want him to be. Can you imagine if he was a huge dud? That would be kind of sad. Scores: 9/8/10 = 27/30 + 9 = 36/40.

Whose dance did you like the best? Who do you think is going home tomorrow night?

Dancing With The Stars Live Recap Season 14, Week 5 April 16, 2012

Dancing With The Stars Recap Season 14, Week 5 April 16, 2012

It's Week 5 of the 14th Season of Dancing With The Stars and it is not only halfway through the season it's LATIN night. That means sexy moves, and sexy costumes and by costumes I mean hopefully very little material.

Carlos Santana and his band are the music guests for the night and opened the show.

We are updating this post live so don`t forget to hit refresh for the 411 on the dances as well as the scores. We will not be talking about Sherri Shepherd leaving last week because it hurts to go there. She deserved to be here tonight and everyone knows it.

Jaleel White & Kym Johnson – Samba – Jaleel looks pumped and he's ready to bring it tonight even if that means taking it off and shaking his bootie for Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli. He's really moving his hips. I think this is his best dance yet. and of course Kym looks amazing. I love how she moved his hand off of her ass. Scores: 8/8/8 = 24/30.

Melissa Gilbert & Maksim Chmerkovskiy - Salsa – She's back from her head injury and is looking pretty healthy. Maks looks happy to have her back that's for sure. I don't think I've ever seen him smile so much. It's funny he keeps calling her grandma but I don't think that I could shake my booty in front of Maks either. I don't think her posture is ever that good when she's dancing. It seems like such an effort for her when she dances. I'm glad she is okay and wasn't seriously injured but I just would prefer to have Sherri Shepherd back instead. Scores: 7/7/7 = 21/30.

Maria Menounos & Derek Hough – Salsa – This is going to be amazing but their rehearsal video makes me cringe when she hit the floor with her jaw. This poor girl's body has caused her so many problems but she remains optimistic, positive and FIERCE. I love how she was rehearsing with bubble wrap. Man that girl has an amazing body. Derek took his shirt off so I'm in a VERY happy place right now and Maria didn't get injured on the dance floor (hopefully). Bruno wants to join in!!! Haha. That is too funny. Scores: 9/9/9 = 27/30.

Katherine Jenkins & Mark Ballas –  Argentine Tango – She has been amazing throughout this season so I expect her to be amazing in this as well. I hope Mark's junk is in tact. LOVE her costume for this dance. The colour the design it's perfection. She's such a beautiful woman and so lovely to watch. You could really feel the passion in this dance. It really was perfection. Scores: 10/9/10 = 29/30.

Gavin DeGraw & Karina Smirnoff –  Samba – He looked so uncomfortable in rehearsal but he's got a huge fan base so hopefully they will help him out. How he is able to continue to tour and do this show is beyond me. That takes a lot of stamina. Len's going to hate the boat and hammock thing. He isn't doing that badly at all, although his form wasn't good throughout and the judges will probably be unhappy about that. Scores: 6/6/7 = 19/30.

William Levy & Cheryl Burke –  Argentine Tango – I'm not sure if I will make it  through this dance so if I don't it's been great interacting with you all. He injured his sexy ankle this week during rehearsals and if I were his doctor I would advise him to hit his bed and hard. But with me in it of course. I hope that shirt of his comes off. He looks so damned sexy in this dance. His body is amazing and his form was perfection. Scores: 10/9/10 = 29/30.

Gladys Knight & Tristan McManus – Samba – This has been a brutal week for Gladys because of all of her concerts and traveling. She is just an amazing woman I have so much respect for her. Tristan is super sexy. She can give woman much younger than her a run for their money. She dances with such soul it's so nice to watch and she's so confident. I just don't know if it's up to the caliber that the judges expect at this point. Scores: 7/7/8 = 22/30.

Roshon Fagan & Chelsie Hightower – Salsa – He's so young it's difficult to view him in a 'sexy' manner but Roshon is a force to be reckoned with and he will do what he needs to do. His moves are always so precise and sharp. I think Michael Jackson every time I see him dance. It's just the way his legs move. Scores: 9/8/9 = 26/30.

Donald Driver & Peta Murgatroyd – Argentine Tango – This is another celebrity whose dance moves are hot. I can't  wait for him to bring the sexy to this dance. This should be a good one. I love how these two get along in their rehearsals. That girl can really kick her leg up high. What a sexy dance. It was mesmerizing. Scores: 10/8/9 = 27/30.

Who was your favorite dance? Who do you think will be going home tomorrow night?

Tomorrow night the bottom two will face off in a dance off! That's new I think. Tomorrow's entertainment includes Selena Gomez and The Scene as well as Train.

Dancing With The Stars’ William Levy Sets The Grove On Fire!

Dancing With The Stars' William Levy Sets The Grove On Fire!

Dancing With The Stars' William Levy set The Grove ablaze yesterday when he and Cheryl Burke arrived to film a spot with 'Extra'. This past week's elimination show (almost…thanks Amy) saw him in the bottom two which is pretty shocking given how the audience erupts into almost hysteria at his presence. Then again who would have thought Sherri Shepherd would have been sent home? That still bums me out. It's like the show isn't the same without her on it.

Next week should be interesting. In the meanwhile enjoy the gorgeous post hump day hotness.

Why Melissa Gilbert Was Rushed to The Hospital

Why Melissa Gilbert Was Rushed to The Hospital

At the end of last night's Dancing With The Stars, host Tom Bergeron announced that Melissa Gilbert and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy were noticeably absent because she was rushed to the hospital without elaborating on the why. It turns out that during their Paso Doble she hit her head on the dance floor (OUCH, how painful does that sound?) and later complained of dizziness.

Prince Gavin DeGraw came to the rescue and carried her down the stairs to the ambulance where she was taken to hospital with Maks by her side.

She later tweeted that she's fine and has a mild concussion and whiplash:

Why Melissa Gilbert Was Rushed to The Hospital

Check out the video of the dance. I can't see where she banged her head but obviously she did.:

Mark Ballas & Tiffany Dunn Fight Over A Scooter & Cigarette (video)

Mark Ballas & Tiffany Dunn Fight Over A Scooter & Cigarette (video)

Dancing With The Stars' hottie Mark Ballas and his girlfriend Tiffany Dunn were caught on video having a fight that was apparently a little alcohol fueled and occurred because she sold her scooter and he smoked a cigarette. Apparently she had an accident on her scooter and agreed to sell it if he gave up smoking. A friend of hers snitched that he had his sexy lips wrapped around a cigarette and well, the video says it all.

He took the key to his house from her keychain and she told him he's 'such a d*ck when he drinks' and he walked away not knowing he was being filmed the entire time.

TMZ is reporting that the two made up and shared a cab home. I bet the make up sex was crazy. The moral of this story: it sucks to be famous.

Meltdown Story B.S. Says Mark Ballas, Kym Johnson & Jaleel White

Jaleel White Meltdown Story B.S. Says Mark Ballas

Dancing With The Stars' Mark Ballas told TMZ that Jaleel White meltdown story we ran yesterday in which he and his dance partner Kym Johnson had a huge fight and Mark came to the rescue is a crock of poop and a 'complete fabrication' saying 'this is L.A. man, everything is a fabrication.'

ET Online spoke to Kym and Jaleel after the show who also disputed the report with him admitting that they went and got a manicure earlier this week together.

So there you have it. Allegedly. No fight occurred although Kym did admit couples do have their difficult weeks. What do you think?
