David Arquette Defends Courtney Cox

David Arquette recently came to the defense of his wife Courtney Cox Arquette when a New York Times blogger made references to both Courtney and friend Jennifer Aniston putting on some weight after seeing them at the Golden Globes:
“Writing articles about people that put on weight is just wasting space for real news. And who really cares? I love round people, I love skinny people. I love people in general; we’ve got to get past labels and stop being so critical about everything.
“On the internet, people find that place and think they can just speak their mind, but a lot of the time you see how mean people are. In general, we just need to be a kinder society.”
Besides the fact there is absolutely nothing wrong with either woman, I agree with him. I have a real problem with women making swipes at other women for weight-related issues (gain, cellulite, etc.). Whether you are currently struggling with a weight problem or not, to devalue another woman because of weight gain hurts us all, and in ways far beyond weight issues. Women need to support one another.
