The environmentally conscious celebrities came out last night for the Environmental Media Awards held at Paramount Studios in Hollywood. 

Sir Richard Branson and Jason Mraz were honoured as were Centropolis Entertainment and National Geographic Society.   My spidey senses tell me that burning all the styrofoam yesterday was wrong.  Kidding!! Please don’t send emails.

Combined, Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z earned $162 Million from the period of June 2007 – June 2008.  Jay Z earned $82 Million while Beyonce earned $80 Million.  Not a bad day at the office, huh?

The former Ally McBeal actress, Calista Flockhart stayed home with her son Liam from infancy until 2006 when she returned to the series Brothers and Sisters and realized how difficult that decision was:

“All of a sudden, I wasn’t home to pick Liam up from school, and I realised it wasn’t really Ok, and I wasn’t happy, and I was scratching my eyes out. I couldn’t believe I’d put myself in this situation.”

But Indiana Jones came to the rescue!!!  Harrison Ford alleviated her concerns:

“(I) Was very comforted knowing that Harrison was there – he really stepped up and became a stay-at-home dad.”

The two have been engaged since 2002 and Harrison Ford adopted her son Liam.

Speaking of Brothers and Sisters, did you watch last night?  I haven`t watched that show in a while but it was really good last night.  Are you a fan of the show?

Not for his film work, but for his contribution to conservation.   The event took place at SeaChange Summer Party in California on Friday.  The award was for his continued dedication to environmental issues.  Who knew???

Diane Keaton and Ted Danson also attended the event.  Danson is co-founder of the organization.

In addition to this honour, Ford was given the Global Environmental Citizen Award from Harvard Medical School in 2002.

The twice divorced actor has been with Calista Flockhart since 2002.  A former master carpenter, Ford has literally built his own home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  The man is good with his hands!!!
