Nicole Richie is doing the rounds promoting her new book Priceless (a story about a rich girl whose life is transformed by unexpected events) and of course was grilled about her impending nuptials to Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden. Nicole recently spent some time in Mexico for her bachelorette party sparking rumours the wedding would be soon, then the rumours were it would be Christmas time.

During the press circuit she was asked if the wedding was soon to which she simply replied ‘yes’. When asked again (because she must love being asked that a million times) on Good Morning America she went into a little more detail:

I’m going to be honest with you, Joel and I are not big planners,” she said. “We just kind of go with the flow with things.”

Okay, that’s not really much detail is it? She was happy to talk about daughter Harlow’s appreciation of the music of her grandfather Lionel Richie:

“She loves him,” she laughed. “When she hears a song or sees an old music video, she goes, ‘Oh, that’s Pop-pop!’”

Sandra Bullock has got to be the Belle of the Ball on the red carpet in her shimmery dress.  It was so feminine and so lovely and fit her perfectly.  She simply glowed.  There is a shot of her with her back to the camera and her husband Jesse James looking at her and the smile on his face says it all.  What a lovely couple.

I loved a lot of the gowns:  Amanda Seyfried, Kate Winslet, Kristen Stewart, Anna Kendrick, Mariska Hargitay, Helen Mirren, Jennifer Lopez and Demi Moore.  I LOVED Demi Moore’s dress.  I missed her on the red carpet but when I saw her walk out on stage I just thought it was perfection.

Some gowns that didn’t do anything for me:  Zoe Saldana, Diane Kruger, Rachel McAdams, Miley Cyrus and Maggie Gyllenhaal.  To each his own though, right?

The men always look good, I mean it’s hard to go wrong in a tux, right?  But then again they don’t have the fun of finding the perfect gown.

My eyes are bleeding.  The latest Bachelor Jake Pavelka and his fiancee Vienna Girardi class it up during a kiss as Jake moves in for a grope of Vienna’s melons last night at a cocktail party event.

The party was hosted by The Weinstein Company and Montblanc International to honor UNICEF held at The Soho House West Hollywood in Los Angeles last night

I know me and millions of others I need to get over Jake’s choice in fiancee’s and I understand he says he didn’t have sexual chemistry with Tenley and while that is important, I hope for his sake he has more than just that with this girl. Lust is a fickle lady.

Nicole Scherzinger strikes a pose at the 7th Annual Global Green pre-Oscar party at the Avalon in Los Angeles last night.  As you know by now, this Pussycat Doll is going to be on Dancing With The Stars when it premieres March 22! I can not wait.  I think she will do exceptional because she is sexy and knows how to work it, am I right?

The Grove lights up for its annual tree lighting ceremony with performances by Jon Secada, Lonestar and Five for Fighting.  Also attending the event:  Arnold Schwarzenegger, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Maria Shriver, Dean Cain, Lonestar, Della Reese, Benji and Joel Madden.

It looks so Christmasy there!  Are you in the Christmas spirit?

Yesterday Nicole Richie took the stand against the two photographers, Eduardo Arrivabene and Ivon Emilio Melo Miguel, who slammed into her vehicle on October 5 as they were trying to get her picture:

“For months they have been following me prior to the accident and they continued to pursue me even after the accident. I havebeen diagnosed with something now and I don’t feel good. “I was on foot, I got in my car to drive east to go to a business meeting. They were cutting each other off, to lobby for a better position. They were trying to get in front of me or beside me, I was following my mom. I crossed on yellow. They ran the red light in order to follow me. Then I stopped, then out of nowhere, a car slammed right into me. I was hysterically crying. I was lucky my mom was there. About 10 minutes later the pain kicked in and I went to the hospital.”

She understands and accepts that they want to take pictures of her given that she is a celebrity but says there is a difference between “long lens shots and stalking”.

Her partner and father of her two kids Joel Madden also took the stand and admitted he is constantly worried about her and the kids:

“She also told me when the accident happened, that they were filming her right after the accident. From the accident, from then to now, she is always terrified.”

The photographers were ordered to stay away from Nicole and her two kids for a period of 3 years and can not be within 50 yards of them unless it is at a celebrity event.

I’m all for getting pictures of celebrities (clearly with this kind of site) but to endanger the life of someone and children is just unacceptable and unnecessary on all levels.  Sometimes I think pappers act like animals instead of humans.
