Dancing With The Stars Recap

I am totally loving this season, are you?  Brooke Burke was D-I-V-I-N-E.  The kiss to her daughter at the end of her dance brought a tear to my eye.  Seeing the behind-the-scenes footage of her and Derek really brings to light the emotion behind all the stress of preparing for a dance and juggling their lives and work.

Warren Sapp is just the sweetest guy, isn’t he?  Maurice Greene was also outstanding.  It’s breaking my heart to see Rocco Dispirito struggle.  He is a gem.  I love his smile and personality and physique.  It would be sad to see him go, but I don’t know how big his fan base is compared to others.  I would have thought Kim Kardiashian had a big enough fan base to keep her in the game.

So tonight we learn how they will compensate for Misty May-Treanor’s untimely departure.  Lots of rumours are speculating that they will bring Kim Kardashian back, but I find that hard to believe.  First of all, sorry to say, her dancing was not very good.  On top of that, how would they justify bringing her back, but not someone like Ted McGinley (who was not that bad).

If you noticed last night, Hugh Hefner’s girlfriend/ex-girlfriend/girlfriend in transition was in the audience.  I wonder if she will be asked to join or will they just modify the show’s format to accomodate this glitch?

Who do you think will go tonight?

Kim Kardiashian Breaks Down After Loss

Kim Kardashian was inconsolable after being eliminated on Dancing With The Stars last night.  Right after the show wrapped she rushed into the arms of her family with her publicist following her around with a box of tissues.  Says her dancing partner, Mark Ballas:

“It was a tough day for her,” “and we talked about it, and I imagine it will always be a sad day for her. I just hope that her time on the show was magical for her, and, at the end of the day, I will always be so proud that I was the one holding her hand up there.”

It’s unfortunate.  I think she is really sweet, but she obviously wasn’t able to overcome her shyness.  Part of me believes that she is shy, but then I think how can you be when you are on a reality show with cameras following you around daily?

Carrie Ann Inaba said last night:

“This could have been a great opportunity for her to blossom and show the world that she is more than just a beautiful face.”

Inaba added, “I don’t think she really understood what it was that she got into when she joined the show. It looks very glamorous, and it looks easy, but dancing is so athletic, and so difficult, and it’s not easy to improve each week, and that’s exactly what we demand from the contestants on the show.”

Do you think her problem was shyness?
