Lindsay Price is at the Duffy Square in Times Square launching the Degree Women Fine Fragrance Collection.  As usual she looks beautiful!

Whenever I see her or any other member of Lipstick Jungle it reminds me how much I miss that show.  Did you watch?  Do you miss it?

Lipstick Jungle has struggled to stay on TV, but they couldn’t make it, and unfortunately and the show has been cancelled. 

Brooke Shields has confirmed the news to E! Online:

“It was going to stay and we just were officially told it’s finally not coming back.

“It’s very sad. I think a lot of people were really sad, but I think we hung on a really long time. It was three great years that we’ve been working on it.”

The show was considered a replacement for Sex and The City.  Were you a fan?

Eva Longoria looks beautiful as she hosts New Years Eve at her restaurant, Beso in Los Angeles.  No sign of hubby Tony Parker but maybe I just don’t have access to those pictures.

Julie Benz was there with her man, Brooke Burns with hers, Nadine Velazquez looked beautiful, and the always lovely Lindsay Price attended as well.  No sign of her Lipstick Jungle co-star and love interest Robert Buckley.

This is FABULOUS news!!!  Brooke Shields told reporters at Sunday’s Kidsfest in NYC:

“They thought that because My Own Worst Enemy has been shut down that the same thing had happened to us, and it’s not true,”

She went on to say the show is still going strong:

“They’re not breaking down the sets,” she added. “We’re still working. We still have more to do, so it’s erroneously presented that we’ve been canceled, thank God.

“Our bosses are saying, ‘You’re not canceled, don’t worry. We’re just trying to figure out how to make this make sense.’”

When it was first reported that Lipstick Jungle had been cancelled fans sent tubes of lipstick to Jeff Zucker, president & CEO of NBC Universal, as a show of protest for its `cancellation`and support for the show:

“It’s been insane,” she went on. “I think that the public outcry has been crazy, and it’s kind of wonderful.”

And Brooke herself is optimistic of the show`s staying power:

“I actually am,” Shields said. “I mean, we’re basically No. 1 if you look at DVR. And you look at all that. So the public is watching it.

“The problem that they have is it’s not the same day live,” she continued. “They just need to figure out how to reconcile advertisers’ money because the advertisers don’t want you fast forwarding commercials.”

If the show does get cancelled Brooke will be heartbroken:

“The family atmosphere and the excitement of being all together and working — that’s the perk,” she said. “I think they would be remiss if they decided not to continue next season.”

Kim Raver admits she would take it very hard if the show were cancelled:

“The main thing is that me and Brooke and Lindsay [Price] have such a great time, not to sound corny,”   “I think on Monday there are emergency meetings as to what’s going to go on. But I know the executives are really pushing it and believe in it.”

Now this is a GREAT way to start the week, am I right??????

PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS A JOKE!!!!  According to E! Online, sources are saying that Lipstick Jungle and My Own Worst Enemy are getting the ax.  NBC has yet to confirm this, but the sources stating this are said to be `reliable`.

The first year of Lipstick Jungle (starring Brooke Shields, Kim Raver and Lindsay Price) was cut short by the writer`s strike.  Apparently in this, its second season, it struggled to get enough of an audience.  I find that one hard to believe, so many people buzz about this show. 

I`ve missed the first couple of episodes this year, but have been taping it and watching it.  It`s getting really good!!!

Here is an online petition to keep the show going.  I`m sure there are, and will be, more.  If this show goes, Robert Buckley goes!!!  Are you ready to see him go??????  I didn`t think so!!!!

UPDATE  Here is the NBC Message Board for the show.  Maybe, just maybe, if enough people protest NBC can GET IT TOGETHER and NOT cancel it!!!

I can imagine the thoughts racing through the minds of many women right now, lol.  Robert Buckley told reporters at the Lipstick Jungle premiere:

It’s Kirby, so let’s be honest, he’s going to find himself in a couple situations sans T-shirt,”

That`s it?? When I heard `baring more`I thought QUANTITY.  I`m thinking, um no pants.  Is that asking too much?  I didn`t think `more`this season.

And in preparation for those scenes he shares a few tips:

“There’s a lot of crossing of my fingers and praying and hoping that the lights find my body correctly and make it look flattering. And probably some last minute jazzercising,”

That`s funny.  I don`t picture him to be the jazzercising type.

It isn`t just skin you are going to see more of:

“We’re going to get to see [Kirby's] mom, and I assure you that that is a very, very interesting turn,” he reveals to OK!. “And there’s also a whole new element that you’re going to see at the end of the season and new emotions that you haven’t seen before. It’s a good time for Kirby.”
