Before I get on with the winners of last night’s Golden Globe Awards, I just want to mention that I really enjoyed Ricky Gervais hosting.  What we saw of him.  I would have really liked for him to be on stage more often.  I particularly liked when he introduced Mel Gibson by saying:

“It’s not my fault. I like a drink as much as the next man. Unless the next man is Mel Gibson”

I’m sure your jaw dropped to the floor like the rest of us and the celebrities in the audience.  Mel didn’t seem bothered by it and in fact went along with it.

Sandra Bullock showed off her perfect German in her acceptance speech by telling her kids (she is step-mom to husband Jesse James’ kids):

“to brush their teeth and go to bed”

Although my television went black during his speech, I enjoyed watching Robert Downey Jr via YouTube:

One of my favourite celebrity couples, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban arrive at LAX from Sydney with their gorgeous baby girl Sunday Rose.

They are back in Los Angeles to attend tomorrow night’s People Choice Awards where Keith is up for Country Artist & Favourite Male Artist.  Check back here tomorrow for lots of pictures of the People Choice Awards.

All the ladies of ‘Nine’ at last night’s New York premiere looked gorgeous, but I have to say Stacy ‘Fergie’ Ferguson looks like a Grecian Goddess.  Here she is posing with co-star Kate Hudson and Kate’s mother Goldie Hawn.  Goldie Hawn also looks incredible.

And if you wondered how that many women got along in one room:

“There was a lot of oestrogen in one room. It was fun, I liked it. We had a two month rehearsal process. We shot two scenes right at the beginning where we were all together, the overture and finale, so we spent quite a bit of time together. It took two weeks to rehearse. It was definitely very girly for everyone. We’ve all known each other and seen each other around before, but to really work with people you admire, it was just great.“

Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz and Stacey ‘Fergie’ Ferguson pose on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of Nine last night which opens in theatres Christmas Day.  The movie also stars Daniel Day Lewis, Marion Cotillard, Judi Dench, Kate Hudson and Sophia Loren to name a few.

I don’t know about you, but the trailer looks amazing.  Would you go see this movie?

Nicole Kidman met Harvey Weinstein out for lunch at the Tavern in Brentwood, where she was surrounded by fans and photographers.  The Ivy would be a billion times worse!

And if you didn’t hate her enough because she knocks boots with Keith Urban, it turns out she doesn’t have to diet either:

“As Keith’s a musician there are pitstops at Wendy’s” she said. “But I’m 6ft tall, so it’s not weight that’s an issue for me, but things like cholesterol.”

But even if she weren’t 6 feet tall, she runs:

“It’s what my dad taught us – he’s a marathon runner. He’s 71 and goes on 10-mile runs. He takes Sunday hiking on his back for hours.”

Seriously as much as I think Keith Urban is uberlicious I don’t hate Nicole Kidman for snagging him.  Not much.

Dame Judi Dench looks lovely as she leaves Nine’s afterparty with a young man on her arm.  You go girl!! Kate Hudson is also seen leaving where she is wearing a fur coat.  Not sure if it’s real or not, but if it is, it’s just one more reason for me not to like her, besides A-Rod who is also pictured (not together).
