NKOTB’s Danny Wood turned 40 yesterday and celebrated with a party at LIV nightclub at The Fontainbleau in Miami, Florida with his fellow bandmembers Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg,  Jordan Knight and Jonathan Knight.  The party benefitted the Susan G. Komen For The Cure Foundation.  Now how incredible is that?  He celebrates a birthday and raises money for a fabulous cause.  That’s hot!!

NKOTB’s Donnie Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre, Jordan Knight, Danny Wood and Jonathan Knight appeared on The Today Show today and sang among other songs, Dirty Dancing. 

Fans had been lining up since SUNDAY to see them on The Today Show.  And what did the NKOTB do?  They arrived at the studios at 6 a.m. to hand out free concert tickets to those that were lined up since Sunday.  Now that’s awesome!  They also promise the show to be, ahem, full service.  I’m not entirely sure what they mean, but it’s enough to make this old bitch want to get some tickets to their show.

It’s just a 32 second snippet.  What do you think?

New Kids on the Block’s Donnie Wahlberg came close to death last week after losing control of the car he was driving.  He was driving from San Diego to Los Angeles Wednesday night after one of the gigs and fell asleep at the wheel missing the concrete barrier in the middle of traffic by mere inches:

“I nearly crashed my car after the gig. I was driving from San Diego to L.A. and I’d been on the road for three hours. I was so tired that my eyes kept closing. Then I fell asleep and it was raining.”   He adds, “I was like, ‘Whoa!’ And I’ve been quiet ever since. I’m so tired.”

That’s scary, isn’t it?

Tons and tons of celebrities were at The American Music Awards last night.   Did you watch??  I thought it was great. 

I really enjoyed the performances, in particular Beyonce’s  Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).  It was mesmerizing.  Pink of course didn’t disappoint.  Loved the dress she wore during her performance and her duet with Sarah McLaughlin was beautiful.  Despite her separation, Sarah McLaughlin is looking great.

Most notable was Chris Brown who won Artist of the Year along with two other awards.  It was so funny when Chris said he would have chosen Coldplay for Artist of the Year.  Rihanna beat out some very stiff competition for her wins.  Kanye West wants to be Elvis!!!  That was so random, so funny.

Donnie Wahlberg, Jordan Knight, Danny Wood and Joe McIntyre of New Kids On The Block were out in New York this past weekend.  They are in New York for their sold out Madison Square Gardens concert.

How adorable is Joe McIntyre’s baby, Griffin Thomas???  I love the picture of Joe and his wife Barrett Williams holding the baby’s arms as Griffin walks!!

New Kids on The Block paid a visit to MTV’s TRL in promotion of their new album.  Earlier in the day they visited The View where they performed Single, from their new album.
