I of course fell for Robert Pattinson in the Twilight Saga, what girl didn’t?  But I must say that his new movie with Reese Witherspoon, Water For Elephants is THE movie I am most looking forward to in the upcoming months.  The story is touching, they sizzle with intense chemistry and well, you get the picture.

Star got ask him a few questions:

Q: How did you enjoy shooting a period piece?
I’ve always had an affinity for that era, and the production people made it totally real. The camera was pretty much the only thing from the 21st century. Authentic period underpants do help as well. I actually wore them every day.

Q: Did you have any fear working with the elephant?
I don’t think I was scared at all. There was one moment when Tai’s trainer said, ‘Sit,’ and she did it exactly the same way a dog would. It’s totally incomprehensible when you see it. I basically decided to do the movie at that point.

Q: Your costars said she loved you.
We had a relationship that was based purely on candy. I’d suck a peppermint for a bit and then stick it on my armpits or on my chest. So the elephant would constantly be sniffing me and I’d be like, “She just really likes me!”

Q: Reese is much shorter than you. Did that make your kissing scenes awkward?
Reese and I were discussing how they put her on a box to kiss the tall guys. It’s really easy for me, because I have bad posture. I have a big, heavy head that slumps down, so I’m in the right spot kind of naturally!

The movie opened in theaters yesterday, are you going?  I will be this weekend!

Who doesn’t love them some Robert Pattinson.  He is so shy and unassuming. Even after all of this fame he is still not 100% comfortable with it. In fact you are left with the impression he will never be comfortable.

I did this post originally at about 2 a.m. this morning and I could have sworn the original video I put up was a current one, but it wasn’t (even though the html indicated it was Water For Elephants) but considering Robert wasn’t on Ellen DeGeneres until TODAY so the video of the week hours was an old one. My apologies. I need to post when I’m awake and not half asleep.

Someone needs to get fired over this. Robert Pattinson’s wax figure is just plain bizarre looking. When I look at it, I see Leo DiCaprio, a bit of Matthew McConaughey and very little Robert Pattinson.

Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon hit the red carpet for tonight’s world premiere of Water For Elephants at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York looking very dapper.

I still can’t believe that she describes their sex scenes as gross. I don’t care if he had bodily fluid coming from every orifice of his body, it would still be heaven. Is she afraid of offending her new husband? Come now. He’s in the business. He would totally understand if you waxed poetic about locking lips with Edward Cullen.

I love Robert Pattinson. I think he is charming, decent, funny, humble, cute and sexy. But the brows need some coiffing. Maybe it’s for a new role? If not he needs to do some manscaping. Tell us something we haven’t already hoped for. Oh do behave. I’m not talking sexually.  Reese Witherspoon said that Robert Pattinson was a dirty boy in the he doesn’t put a lot of emphasis on the hygiene thing:

”Well, it’s a boy thing, right? To have dirty fingernails and dirty hair, and his clothes were dirty all the time. It was a nice escape for him to be tan and in the sun all the time instead of the vampire gear.”

I think it’s a boy thing if you are under the age of 12 perhaps but not necessarily normal for a 24 year old. We think she is referring to the circus atmosphere that Water For Elephants takes place in. I’m hoping she’s not talking about him outside of that, although there has been talk before about him not washing his hair.

Water For Elephants is out April 22 where you can see Robert Pattinson be a dirty boy. In the meanwhile you must head on over to Entertainment Weekly where they have some amazing shots of Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson on the film set.
