It’s time for another posters post! Woo hoo! *demented poodle dance* I kid. Seriously, the new posters are stackin’ up around here like cordwood.

Let’s start with two posters for The Amazing Spider-Man. Once again, nothing for weeks and now we’ve had new clips and pics and today we have not one but two shiny new posters. Personally I’m partial to the one with Spidey clinging to the side of a building. The other one, for all of its color and shine, is kind of bland.
“Like most teenagers his age, Peter (Andrew Garfield) is trying to figure out who he is and how to be the person he is today. In his journey to put the pieces of his past together he uncovers a secret that his father (Campbell Scott) held… a secret that will ultimately shape his destiny asSpider-Man. This is the first in a series of movies that tells a different side of the Peter Parker story.”
The Amazing Spider-Man stars Garfield, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Irrfan Khan, Annie Parisse, C. Thomas Howell and Embeth Davidtz. The screenplay is by James Vanderbilt and Alvin Sargent and Steve Kloves, based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. It’s scheduled for release on July 3rd in the US, 4th July in the UK, in 3D, of course.

Next up we have a new poster for indie romance Take This Waltz with Seth Rogan, Michelle Williams, and Luke Kirby as the three sides to a love triangle. It’s been playing festivals since TIFF and will finally get a release in the US in June
Take This Waltz, has been described as a funny, bittersweet and heart-wrenching story about a woman struggling to choose between two different types of love within a surreal, fairy tale-like love triangle.
The supporting cast includes Sarah Silverman as Rogan’s recovering alcoholic sister and Aaron Abrams as well as the city of Toronto, director Sarah Polley’s hometown, which she has painted with a light and airy brush full of color. Take This Waltz will get a limited release in the US starting June 29.

I am really looking forward to Neil Jordan’s return to the world of vampires in Byzantium. We’ve had some set pics of Gemma Arterton and Saoirse Ronan, as well as one lonely official image. I’m thrilled to share the first poster today!
The synopsis:
Eleanor and Clara, two mysterious and penniless young women, flee the scene of a violent crime and arrive in a run-down coastal resort. They try to find money and refuge along the tawdry seafront and in the dilapidated hotels.
Clara, ever-practical, sells her body. She soon meets shy and lonely Noel, who provides a roof over their heads in his seedy guesthouse, Byzantium. Clara, always looking towards the future, turns it into a ‘pop-up’ brothel.
Meanwhile Eleanor, the eternal schoolgirl, meets Frank, a kindred spirit who unwittingly prompts her to tell the truth about her life. She tells him that Clara is her mother; yet Clara is only a few years older. She says that she was born in 1804; yet she is just sixteen. She confesses that she must drink human blood to stay alive – and so must her mother. In the small, quiet town, people start to die.
And the past that the girls have been running from for so long, finally catches up with them – with astonishing consequences.
Arterton and Ronan are joined by Caleb Landry Jones as Frank, as well as Jonny Lee Miller, Sam Riley, Daniel Mays and Tom Hollander. Byzantium is currently in post-production but still no exact release dates.

Okay kiddies, this is probably one you’ve been waiting for…the big Kahuna of today’s posters is the first official from Twilight: Breaking Dawn – part 2. I have to say, I’m a big disappointed. It’s your first real look at the family Cullen and it’s basically a bland photoshopped bunch of “meh”. Not having read thebooks, I wonder how half-human/half-vamp Renesmee is going to handle Mummy going the total vamp route?
After the birth of Renesmee, the Cullens gather other vampire clans in order to protect the child from a false allegation that puts the family in front of the Volturi
Twilight: Breaking Dawn – part 2 opens November 16 in the US, Canada and the UK.
