I think I’m going to call today Dump Day instead of Hump Day.  Model and former wife of rocker Rod Stewart, Rachel Hunter, 39,  has been dumped less than 2 months before her August 14th wedding to Canadian hockey player Jaret Stoll, 27.   Usually Canadian boys are much more polite than that.

Apparently Rachel is left devastated as Stoll walked out without any explanation and emailed guests that the wedding was off.  A source told  Britain’s The Sun newspaper:

“Rachel is absolutely devastated. Everything was in place for their wedding – she had the venue, the designer dress, the guest list.  “She has absolutely no idea why Jarret has done this. It sounds like it could be a classic case of cold feet. He is a fair bit younger than her.”

And apparently Rod Stewart has been there for Rachel, as she is alleged to have told a friend:

“Rod has been amazing through all of this – a real support.”

Rachel and Jaret had been living together in a California mansion and got engaged last August.  She recently spoke of their 13-year age difference:

“It obviously isn’t an issue for us because we wouldn’t be getting married if it was a problem. Of course you talk about it but it was a very easy conversation.”

I can’t imagine what Rachel is going through.  The only good thing is it didn’t happen on the day of the wedding.

Further fueling the non-confirmed relationship between Alex Rodriguez and Madonna, A-Rod had a front seat at her Sweet & Sticky concert in Miami last night where she sang ‘You Must Love Me’ to him.  Of course they are just friends.  I always sing that song to all my friends.

She also accepted a bottle of water from him as he sat beside her manager Guy Oseary and Rod Stewart.  According to an eyewitness:

“It was easy for him to hand it off because he was sitting in the front row. He was all excited watching her perform.”

My friends are very excited when I sing to them too, but they never provide me with beverages to quench my thirst.

Mariah Carey was in Vegas (with hubby Nick Cannon) this past weekend for the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation`s Grand Slam for Children benefit concert at the Wynn Resort.  Also in attendance (and performing) Natasha Bedingfield, Sheryl Crow, and Rod Stewart.

Rod Stewart will be performing at Prince Charles’ 60th Birthday Party and has agreed to waive his standard fee of $1.85 Million!!

A close friend of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, Stewart wanted to sing for free as a special gift for the party which will occur on November 15 one day before the Prince’s actual birthday.

A spokesman for Prince Charles:

“The main musical entertainment at the party will be provided by Rod Stewart, who is an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust.  “He is giving his performance as a birthday present to the Prince.”

Now that is some birthday gift, no?
